Introduction
Call of Blood is a guild started by a bunch of friends, aimed at raiding 20-men raids but with a relaxed schedule. Formed around the pillars of a tight community and no-nonsense leadership, one can expect a friendly, warm welcome and a lot of friendly people to traverse the dangerous plains, mountains and lakes of Telara with.
We're a guild aimed at end-game raid progression in particular, but looks to explore all fields of the game. While interested in PvE, PvP and RP, people are by no means expected to participate in each of these fields (except PvE), but are asked to respect them. As such, it's required of new members to respect the Role Playing policy.
Guild Charter
To ensure a friendly, mature atmosphere we set up a few ground rules.
- Treat your fellow guild members and non guild members like you want to be treated.
- You are on time and well prepared, understanding that not doing so is a lack of respect for your teammates.
- You always are eager to learn more and become better. You welcome criticism, instead of hiding from it.
- We're team players and realize this. You put the guild's goal before your own.
- You respect and adhere to the role playing policy.
- While wearing the guild tag, remember that you are a reflection of our community and that you will respect our charter.
It is expected of every member of Call of Blood to abide these rules. While we understand we're all humans and everyone makes a mistake sometimes - whether it's in a fit or a fight - we also expect the person to be responsible for his error and apologizes.
What We're Looking For
Unfortunately not everyone can be a member of Call of Blood. As Call of Blood wishes to maintain a certain atmosphere and sense of community we have set up a few guidelines to what people we recruit. Note that these are only guidelines, excepts might be made, but are rare.
- We're looking for people of 18 or over.
- We do not look for drama queens or general chat heroes (trolls).
- We look for people with primarily a raider mindset, you want to progress and always strive to perform better.
- You have no problem communicating in and understanding English, we find communication critical to all areas of the guild.
- This goes for spoken English too, you also have Ventrilo installed and a working headset.
On top of this, you should be available on Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday from 20.00 till 24.00, with invites for the raids starting at 19.45. During this 15 minute window, you are expected to come online and if needed get your raid consumables ready. (Pro tip: earlier preparation is a good idea!)
If you match these criteria and you are interested in joining Call of Blood, you should take the time to fill out our small application form on the website, to which the URL can be found at the end of the post. This should take only a few minutes of your time.
Currently we're recruiting all calling and soul combinations. If you feel this guild is something you'd wish to be part of, we'll gladly have you aboard granted you meet our criteria (and we yours.)
What We Can Offer You
- Friendly atmosphere.
- Structured raids.
- Experienced leadership.
- RP and PvP events aside from raiding.
Role Playing Story
READ THIS! This is the RP story of when we decided to go Defiant, I'll change this for something more Guardian-like later. Just keeping it here for the sake of it.
The sky was grey and the heavens pouring, the dirt road on which the young Paladin was muddy. The slumping sound of the heavy plate sabatons quietly echoing over the plains. It was fairly dark, vision limited to no more than fifty metres. The Paladin carried a lantern, patrolling over the road with a sword in hand. She stopped when the light of her lantern was reflected in the dark.
"Who goes there!", the Ethian Paladin yelled. "Show yourself now!"
No response.
Carefully she treaded closer. The darkness swept away by her lantern as she could see what was reflecting the light of her lantern. Resting against the tree was a mangled body of a fellow Ethian. She cursed to herself as she got down on her left knee.
"This is no work of a Guardian. Even those god-worshiping idiots aren't this vile... unless they turned into cannibals.."
The Ethian corpse was mangled by what looks to be claw marks, his body ripped apart by claws and jaws. She placed her hand on the man's forehead before she got up, she turned the palm of her hand towards herself, blood dripping over the silvery metal. She clenched her fist and ran back to the village.
Arriving there, she jump onto a stage which was normally used for executing lowly scum. She raised her armor plated, blood dripping hand. Shouting out to the villagers.
"Defiant! Hear the Call of BLOOD!".
The townsfolk gathered around the stage, expecting either an execution or important announcement.
"Tonight, one of our brethren has been slain! Slain by the spawns of Regulos! But yet, here we are, standing in our own village! Well today, TODAY THAT WILL END! Hear my call, brothers and sisters, hear the Call of Blood! Join me in battle, get your finest horse and your best armor, and join me!"
The townsfolk was fairly uninterested, returning to their daily routines. Except for three peculiar individuals, merely nodding and calling their steeds. The Paladin nodded back, and together the company rode out into the horizon. They said they followed the Call of Blood, and took along willing travelers on their quest - riding into battle for a brighter future for Telara.
