Heretics guild endeavor to be as friendly and helpful as possible to our members whilst we level as players and guild we are a small guild and have no aims to become a POWER guild but a small friendly community to have fun and play together.The guild is growing but we hope to maintain our closeness as we make our way through Telera. No limits have been made on what races,classes or levels no matter how big, small or impaired!
We enjoy grouping for quests,dungeons and warfront and engage in some light RP and banter with the other guilds and general player base in RIFT. A sense of humor is almost certainly required to get most out of your time with us.While being a lower ranked guild our aspirations are just a great as those more established.

Our guilds personal aims are to help experienced players alike to make their way through whatever may stand before them.Quests however are not the only thing we try to help one another with.While the adventure of Telera takes place,crafting becomes a fundamental part of the games features.
Being able to make things from armor to weapons is all well and good, but at some point the help of others will be needed to craft those small but important aspects of our craft.To be overcome with the help of others is the guild, sharing craft abilities to each our desired goals.

Though it must be understood that as guild we will not power level players or tolerate those that are not tolerant of others.We ask that members should be respectful,mature and responsible of their actions to others, in and outside of our guild.


The Origins of Heretics

Heretics : Definition... people who commit herecy which is a radical change to ones beliefs,principles or causes or the direct denunciation of ones religion.

Now the boring part is over here's the fun part... As this is a Light RP based guild here's the list of endless possibilities open to you as heretics.

Werewolf: Much is rumored about the origins of werewolves but as far back as the testaments go werewolves were once brave warriors of the vigil sent to battle the planes of death and were left to the endless corruption there. Now twisted and full of hatred werewolves believe they were deserted by the vigil and are cursed by the coming of a full moon transforming them into beasts which are now hunted by the very deity the once served.

Vampire: Originally guards of the 13th sanctuary expeditionary force while on duty deep in Iron pine mountains fell through a chasm and were trapped for months, hungry and thirsty over the weeks were without food or aid eventually resulted in cannibalism and the consumption of human blood.When finally rescued, the few remaining survivors we taking before the chamber of the vigil and executed for the attrosities they committed.Now years later it is rumored that the descendants of the survivors bloodlines share their ancestors thirst for blood and blame the vigil and its followers for leaving them cursed for past transgressions

Witches: Basically normal people of telara usually one adept in magic or sorcery these people are hunted by not following a set code of magic using deemed unfit by the vigil.This could be as little as homemade salves or healing tonics or as drastic as has demonic dreams. Many have been wrongfully killed in the vigils name by claiming they were witches, now mainly keeping a low profile or going into hiding these people denounce all the vigils believes claiming it to be nothing more than a dictatorship

Warlocks: Nothing much is known about warlocks as there is few actually alive, following from the same school of magic as necromancers these exceptional people were also skilled in controlling death magic and undead as well as the rare ability to conjure demonic spirits through invocations.Through many debates and arguements many a fight broke out over the rights of wrong of demon control and soon turned into accusations of actual demon worship.Armed with a new cause the Quicksilver college soon expelled anyone possesing the power to use such invocations.A civil war between mages broke out and the majority of mages lost their lives, Now hiding in solitude Warlocks as they now become to be known as still carry the feud and have no liking to the vigil for aiding Quicksilver college in the killing of many bretherins and denounce the vigil as being hypocritical.

Voidknights / Reavers / Dark or "Fallen Paladins" : All warriors of the vigil, after years of battle seem to question their faith wondering what is it all for,was it for the best cause.Not following the way of the defiants but understanding a portion of their arguement and claims these warriors were instantly dismissed and shunned by the public.Some are lucky to be living amongst the public in quiet villagers,there names and deeds forgotten but to a only few and still possesing the same battle prowess these people spend most time reading over books trying to make sense of the beliefs of the vigil and in some cases arguing that perhaps the vigil isn't as holy and righteous as it makes out to be, some actually believe the vigil to be nothing more than just a cult ... a way to draw people into doing something they claim righteous and erradicating any free will a person has.

Rangers / Rogues / Asassins and cutthroats: Exactly the same as the above although these people decided to take a different approach to their counterparts instead of reading and learning debating , these people believe in taking back what they put into serving the vigil. Usually found in dark corners of the taverns or lurking around fortunes shore these people only believe in a quick way to make money disregarding faith and belief they take it upon themselves contract killing,highway robbery and smuggling defiant technologies are a few trademark things these people get into.They now believe the only reward the vigil gives you is blood and death and think the only way to prosper is to take for yourself although not all follow the same path.Some live in the deepest forests and wilderness living off the land and simply disregarded any faith and living on own free will.
