Happy newyear and how is Argent?

As the title says Some old oldskoolers may remember my character Eithne; I've played the first month after launch but RL/other games caught up with me fast. Circumstances made me resub Rift for now to see how things are on Argent Still playing AoC (leading guild there) and whatever singleplayer I happen to feel like, but checking out an oldie that was never half-bad won't harm ;) (I also wouldn't ever touch TOR with a 6 feet broom).

So how's the server now? Talila told me RP is a bit in decline, but when you play AoC nothing is "in decline", all about perspective ;) Still plenty of PvE-runs going etc?

Well, we on the defiant side, are still hanging out, although we notice that we are suffering from lack of alot of roleplayers, due to SW:TOR, Skyrim, or whatever is out there these days. Although people have come in short, we are still alive.
Don't expect Argent to go down any time soon, as Firesand did. Although i have never played on Firesand, i heard stories, about how that server went down under.
And the RP-guilds are doing their best, to breathe life into the roleplaying, and with success, i'd say.

It's the same in any game of late I think Combination of holidays, a massive hangover from newyears and other games ;D I only played on Firesand in the beta, and am still glad I picked Argent at launch - I already had a gnawing feeling that one would not last

Played a bit tonight with my other half and was happy to see RP in Argent, and still plenty of other people, so all's good :3 I'm also really impressed with everything Trion has done this year to polish the game, they've done well Is there a major difference in population btw, when it comes to Guard versus Defiant? Or is it pretty balanced?

To be honest, i have never really lived in on the guardian RP, although i've heard it is some of the best. And i am too busy, on the defiant side to make any alts (proud non-altoholic).
And the defiants are having alot of interstng RP, although we have a few drama-queens, who tend to mess up the peace, and start a civil war (over-exageration). If you know any of these, then you'll know what i am talking about.

I've often heard that Guardian RP is a bit more active at least than Defiant RP, but quantity doesn't equal quality of course ;) Are there any Defiant hubs, like Guards have Glade and Sanctum? I remember Azendi once saying Shimmersand was full of potential... I don't have a high-level Defy but might make one just for when I feel like it (Already have 3 chars on Guard-side ._. )

Well, to be completely honest, i think our only roleplaying hot-spot would be Meridian. :/
