    Default Leveling as a Chloromancer

This Chloromancer guide will teach you how to heal as your leveling through Dungeons, Warfronts, Experts and Raids. As well as provide you insight into healing as a Mage whatever you are doing and new techniques for existing Mages. Though warning mistakes could be present.

    The Basics:
A key aspect you should know about is you heal by doing damage while you have a Veil buff active, there’s two different ones Lifegiving Veil & Lifebound Veil.
It’s important to use the right one as it can mean life or death for your group or raid.
    • Lifegiving Veil is for pure group and raid healing.
Only when your enemy boss fight doesn’t require a tank will you be using this Veil in a Dungeon or Expert, it is primarily used when in Warfronts or Raid instances where you're tasked as the raid healer.
    • Lifebound Veil is for tank healing in Dungeons, Warfronts, Experts and Raid instances.
You should also be aware that you will be required to apply Synthesis to the ally you intend to tank heal, these two buffs require each other and you can’t tank heal with only one of them active.

While in Dungeons, Experts and Raid instances your be putting Synthesis on the designated tank to want to heal, Lifebound Veil will also auto trigger when you apply Synthesis to an ally.

For Warfronts is a tricky business to know who you should put Synthesis on as tanks aren’t tanks, they are decoys with harassment abilities, so you have to choose if you should and who you should tank heal.

So at Level 10 for healing in Warfronts 10 Chloromancer, 3 Pyromancer, 0 Stormcaller

    Abilities:
    - Vile Spores you main ability where most of your healing should come from.
    - Radiant Spores a chance to heal an ally for up to 5% of your maximum health, don't prioritize it over your Life damaging or healing abilities, just try to use it on boss fights in Dungeons.
    - Withering Vine this ability is where most of your AoE healing will come from at low levels, it can be applied to up to 3 enemies at a time.
    - Entropic Veil increases damage and healing so when you have 100 Charge use it.
    - Lifegiving Veil your party or raid healing buff.
    - Bloom your first direct healing ability, best to save to the tank in Dungeons.

    Macros:
I suggest you make some macros to make your life easier, there’s also a technique you do to speed up your direct healing on your tank.

    #show Vile Spores
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Vile Spores
    cast Withering Vine
    cast Break Free
Now I’ve added Break Free in there, it’s not part of your souls though it is a ability you get at level 1 from the Ascended Powers tab like your out-of-combat resurrection ability.

Most don’t macro as they think you should save it for specific abilities and say you're a bad player for doing so don’t listen, the only time where it can triggered so many times in a few seconds is in Warfronts and even then are you that quick to use it? and when should you as there are so many abilities that can get you?

Placement of the ability at the back of the macro with help avoid using Break Free on snares and roots for a second and will trigger right away if you get stunned or disabled. So long as you're pressing the macro.
Having Withering Vine at the bottom will only have it trigger when moving around, so you need to bind it to the hotbar separately from the macro.

What you really want to do is create some cast @mouseoverui macros and cast @focus macros for direct healing, cleansing or specific abilities.
    • cast @mouseoverui allows you to use your mouse to choose which person to heal, putting the mouse over their portrait or raid frame then pressing the key with the macro it in.
    • cast @focus allows you to direct abilities onto a specified target like the tank without needing to swap or target them during combat.

    #show Bloom
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Bloom

    #show Bloom
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @focus Bloom

What’s very important is for using cast @focus macros is you setup your tank as your Focus target. You can create a macro with just focus in it or press and hold shift & press the F key on the keyboard, you just need to target the person you want to Focus before you do either.

Also what’s important to note if you don’t setup a focus or don’t mouseover an ally’s portrait or raid frame you will use the ability on yourself.

    Buff:
    Lifegiving Veil

    Rotation:
    Spam Vile Spores

Cast Withering Vine on up to 3 enemies.

    New Soul Points:
    • 1 Point into Synthesis (Chloromancer) enabling you to tank heal an ally.
    • 1 Point into Empowered Veil (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Storm Energy (Stormcaller)
    • 1 Points into Empowered Veil (Chloromancer)
    • 2 Points into Circle of Life (Chloromancer) gives you Natural Conversion causing the next attack use by the enemy to instead heal.
    • 1 Point into Storm Energy (Stormcaller)
    • 1 Point into Nature's Touch (Chloromancer) an ability that greatly heals the target of Synthesis. Also gives access to Ruin that will be used on cooldown.
    • 2 Points into Call of Spring (Chloromancer) gives you Nature's Cleansing best used in Dungeons only on the Tank, otherwise your be cleansing all the time in Warfronts.
    • 1 Point into Storm Energy (Stormcaller)
    • 2 Point into Call of Spring (Chloromancer) giving you 2 abilities Flourish your direct AoE healing ability, and Blight a PvP only ability.
    • 1 Point into Boon of Life (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Storm Energy (Stormcaller)
    • 2 Points into Boon of Life (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Natural Power (Chloromancer) gives you Essence Conversion which restores mana in exchange for 5% of current health, so you can't kill yourself spamming it.

    Level 24
    Abilities:
    - Natural Conversion unless you know the rotation of the Player in a Warfront or a Boss in a Dungeon is best to use it whenever it's off cooldown.
    - Nature's Touch does great damage and a big heal to your Synthesis'd ally or the whole group if Lifegiving Veil is active.
    - Ruin dealing damage to provide a strong heal to your Synthesis'd ally.
    - Nature's Cleansing is not really useful a waste of time really as you should be able to heal through any damage you don't cleanse, unless there is a powerful curse on your tank.
    - Flourish an instant group healing ability, good to use right after your allies take a chunk of damage to get them max to max.
    - Blight very good when dealing with an enemy Warden or Liberator as it will will remove all healing over time abilities they have active, on themselves or their ally.
    - Essence Conversion if you ever run out of mana in combat and don't have access to mana pot you are going to need to use this in order to keep healing.

    Spec:
    24 Chloromancer, 3 Pyromancer, 4 Stormcaller

    Rotation:
    Ruin > Spam Vile Spores

Cast Withering Vine on up to 3 enemies.

1/3 Boon of Life use Nature's Touch at 5 stacks
2/3 Boon of Life use Nature's Touch at 4 stacks
3/3 Boon of Life use Nature's Touch at 3 stacks

    Macros:
    #show Vile Spores
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Ruin
    cast Vile Spores
    cast Withering Vine
    cast Natural Conversion
    cast Break Free

    #show Synthesis
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Synthesis

    #show Nature's Cleansing
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Nature's Cleansing

In 2 Levels we will remove Pyromancer for Dominator, and adjust the points.

    New Soul Points:
    • 2 Points into Natural Power (Chloromancer)
    • Remove 3 Points from Fiery Concentration (Pyromancer)
    • 1 Point into Storm Energy (Stormcaller)
    • 1 Point into Living Storm (Stormcaller) an AoE damaging ability that is good for healing.
    • 1 Points into Mental Fortitude (Dominator)
    • 1 Point into Natural Fusion (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Mental Fortitude (Dominator)
    • 2 Points into Natural Fusion (Chloromancer) gives you Nature's Fury an AoE Life damaging ability.
    • 1 Point into Wild Growth (Chloromancer) which when cast provides direct AoE healing to your group and increases healing they receive from you.
    • 1 Point into Mental Fortitude (Dominator)
    • 3 Points into Nature's Swiftness (Chloromancer) gives you Soul Tether an in combat rez ability.
    • 1 Point into Mental Fortitude (Dominator)
    • 1 Point into Resurgence (Chloromancer) giving you a direct healing ability that heals over time, does have a cooldown so you can't keep it active 100% of the time.

    Level 34
    Abilities:
    - Living Storm this is the only Non-Chloromancer ability you should be using. Best to use on clustered trash and adds as it heals per enemy per tick, so the healing adds up to make this ability useful.
    - Nature's Fury for when you have adds to kill.
    - Wild Growth powerful AoE healing when you need it.
    - Soul Tether if your ally ever dies from standing in enemy AoE or mistakes, this will battle rez them to get them back into the fight.
    - Resurgence an instant healing over time ability to top anyone who takes a bit of damage.

    Spec:
    34 Chloromancer, 4 Dominator, 6 Stormcaller

    Rotation:
    Ruin > Spam Vile Spores

Cast Withering Vine on up to 3 enemies.

Use Nature's Touch when at 3 stacks of Boon of Life.

For dealing AoE damage use Living Storm and Nature's Fury.

    Macros:
    #show Resurgence
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Resurgence

    #show Resurgence
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @focus Resurgence

    #show Soul Tether
    suppressmacrofailures
    raid Battle Rez on %t
    cast @mouseoverui Soul Tether

    New Soul Points:
    • 1 Point into Essence Surge (Chloromancer) gives you a powerful healing ability when your ally is close to death.
    • 1 Point into Cleansing Rush (Chloromancer) giving you an AoE cleansing ability. Now DoTs will be a thing of the past in Warfronts. Plus gives you Natural Healing a spammable direct healing ability.
    • 1 Point into Mental Fortitude (Dominator)
    • 2 Points into Healing Balance (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Call of Spring (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Acumen (Dominator)
    • 1 Point into Phytogenesis (Chloromancer) gives access to Living Energy a resource reduction buff.
    • 1 Point into Healing Torrent (Chloromancer) a direct healing ability that also heals yourself when you cast on a ally.
    • 1 Point into Phytogenesis (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Acumen (Dominator)
    • 1 Point into Phytogenesis (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Lingering Spores (Chloromancer) gives you Natural Splendor a major healing ability that deals damage.

    Level 44
    Abilities:
    - Essence Surge whatever your max health is this ability will apply that amount to whoever you want, doesn't matter what your current health is at the time.
    - Cleansing Rush now this is the cleanse you want to use when the whole group gets cursed. Very useful in Dungeons as AoE DoTs can wipe you.
    - Natural Healing this direct healing ability allows for continuous casting which is only good for pre-loading some buffs later on and healing when there's no one to attack.
    - Living Energy this buff helps out your Warrior and Rogue allies most to keep them dealing damage or healing by reducing how much their abilities cost them.
    - Healing Torrent to be used over Nature's Touch for tank healing.
    - Natural Splendor this is a very powerful tank healing or raid healing ability, depending on which Veil you have active. So when you have Synthesis'd an ally and have Lifebound Veil active it's a tank cooldown ability like Essence Surge. However when you have Lifegiving Veil active instead it does great aoe healing over it's duration. Also it doesn't matter if you attacking one or many enemies for the healing it does.
Though the downside is that it's going to cost a lot of Charge to keep active so you don't want to use Wild Growth or Entropic Veil and vice versa.

    Spec:
    44 Chloromancer, 7 Dominator, 6 Stormcaller

    Buff:
    Living Energy

    Rotation:
    Ruin > Spam Vile Spores

Cast Withering Vine on up to 3 enemies.

Use Healing Torrent when at 2 stacks of Boon of Life.
Use Nature's Touch when at 3 stacks of Boon of Life.

For dealing AoE damage use Living Storm and Nature's Fury.

    Macros:
    #show Essence Surge
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Essence Surge

    #show Essence Surge
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @focus Essence Surge

    #show Natural Healing
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Natural Healing

    #show Natural Healing
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @focus Natural Healing

    #show Healing Torrent
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Healing Torrent

    #show Healing Torrent
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @focus Healing Torrent

    New Soul Points:
    • 1 Point into Lingering Spores (Chloromancer)
    • 1 Point into Acumen (Dominator)
    • 3 Points into Convalesce (Chloromancer) gives you Living Shell a self shield ability.
    • 1 Point into Acumen (Dominator)
    • 3 Point into Raised in Nature (Chloromancer) giving access to Void Life a major healing ability, replaces Vile Spores when tank healing.

    Level 50
    Abilities:
    - Living Shell gives you a nice shield to avoid any incoming damage coming your way.
    - Void Life makes tank healing easy.

    Spec:
    51 Chloromancer, 9 Dominator, 6 Stormcaller

    Buff:
    Living Energy

    Rotation:
    Tank Healing:
    Ruin > Spam Void Life

Use Healing Torrent when at 2 stacks of Boon of Life.

    Raid Healing:
    Ruin > Spam Vile Spores

    Both:
Cast Withering Vine on up to 3 enemies.
Use Nature's Touch when at 3 stacks of Boon of Life.

For dealing AoE damage use Living Storm and Nature's Fury.

    Macro:
    #show Nature's Cleansing
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group01 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group02 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group03 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group04 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group05 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group06 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group07 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group08 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group09 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group10 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group11 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group12 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group13 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group14 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group15 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group16 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group17 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group18 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group19 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group20 Nature's Cleansing

Now you can choose to go on another 51 Chloromancer Guide or try my own Prime Chloromancer Guide

    Level 51 to Level 60:
    • 3 Points into Circle of Life (Chloromancer
    • 4 Points into Accelerated Growth (Chloromancer)
    • 3 Points into Raised in Nature (Chloromancer)

    Abilities:
    - Corrosive Spores does great group and tank healing so you want to use it a lot.
    - Symbiosis now is a tank healing cooldown that increases the healing they take when you deal damage to the enemy, it best to only apply it to a tank, also it can't be apply to yourself. It's great to cast it before using Natural Splendor when tank healing.
    - Living Aegis this buff increases your Life damage and health. It also brings a new mechanic called Explosion of Life which allows you to cast 3 Vile Spores or Natural Healing abilities instantly.

    Buffs:
    Living Aegis
    Living Energy

    Rotation:
    Tank Healing:
    Ruin > Spam Void Life

Use Healing Torrent when at 2 stacks of Boon of Life.

    Raid Healing:
    Ruin > Spam Vile Spores

    Both:
    Keep Corrosive Spores active.
Cast Withering Vine on up to 3 enemies.

Use Nature's Touch when at 3 stacks of Boon of Life.
When Explosion of Life proc's cast 3 Vile Spores.

For dealing AoE damage use Nature's Fury.

    Macro:
    #show Symbiosis
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @focus Symbiosis

Is this still right to use all the Stormcaller abilities? I just tried a dungeon and got called out for low heals; they said I was using to many non-Chloro abilities?

    (Edited to specify: level 16)

Sorry I didn't test this guide before a reposted, so I don't know how the Veil changes have affect it.

But it looks they have made it easier to heal now than it was when this guide was 1st created for Live back in 2015.
So I would suggest stop using Raging Storm, Icicle, Thunder Shock and use Vile Spores.

I'll try to fix it in 15 hours from now, have to sleep now.

For dungeons do you keep Synthesis on the tank and LGV up for trash then flipping to LBV for the boss encounters?

For dungs you will mostly keep synth on tank while using flourish + withering vine to handle the majority of the group damage, only swapping to LGV if a fight has more aoe dmg than tank damage and using Bloom to keep the tank up in those cases.

I personally don't actually have LBV on my hotbars, I instead use synth to activate LBV, and then have LGV on my bar.

Pro Tip: You only require 1 point in Nature's Corrosion for full HPS value. points 2 and 3 only increase the dps you do, but not hps. You can use those 2 points for better things, such as Raised in Nature (more health = larger essence surge and radiant spores), Convalesce, or Lingering Spores.

Points 2 and 3 in Nature's corrosion are literally the last two points you should put in the tree when you are max level.

    Thanks. Both super helpful tips.

I'm level 26 right now and have watched all the recommended video guides on charge management, combos, etc. I only plan on healing dungeons and no raiding.

    I can see that now.

I'm been comparing Necro to Dom for F2P spec and there a very very tiny difference, there's 1-10 increase in Necro, though because of Dom gives 5 meter range & reflect that i think Dom wins out. So i'll be going a head and changing it.

So I'm going to move those points into Convalesce, then use the last 3 point for Raised in Nature.
It's nothing ground changing just a bit more healing for min/max.

Also Deew in your F2P spec you spent 68 points instead of 66 for Level 50, I assume in Cyclogenesis.
