whats going on?
they made an announcement that servers were coming down for a brief ( 30 minute ) update.

im wondering the same thing. cant log into to any server.
I just got back from Burger King and got the same issue man. You aren't the only one.
EDIT: Maintenance. Would be really nice if they had something on the load screen explaining what the hell is going on.

just got back from a 5day vacation, all pumped to play, sit in a 30 min queue, make my char, and i dont even finish loading into the world as they came down.
my timing on things are not great
I logged in for 3 minutes, and fought my way to the bottom of a cave. In the middle of a fight, bam, I get kicked. No doubt dead. Ah well, bad timing on my part.
well for me..
2 hours queue.. down to 20 minutes suddenly the client closed without warning..
login again .. 4 hours++ queue ... down to 4 minutes.. maintenance lol
Gah. I know someone had a 'Server Status' page running during the betas. I wonder if they have retooled it for the launch servers yet--it would be *very* nice to be able to see, since the last few nights running I keep seeming to try to play *right* after they've taken down the servers for whatever reason. :-/ Very sucky timing on my part, obviously, but one that could be reduced a bit by being able to check status before I start the launcher and have to wait through the startup and connection failure...
