Default Firewall / Riftlauncher / character server bug

Well not sure if this is known bug but gonna post it anyways.

    WinXP/zonealarm.

When i first launched Rift It got stuck when trying to access character creation server. Nothing worked (alt tab) not even alt ctrl/del. Only way i got around this was to reset and switch to windowed mode and then i realised it got stuck on the zonealarm notification to give access to the new program. Apparently it would not pop up on top of Rift as is usual with most programs.

Same happened again when i later switched back from windowed and the game received a small patch .. prob between friday/sat.

I dont know if i'm an exception among Zonealarm users but its pretty common firewall so prob should look into it.

zonealarm offers a gaming mode that auto answers allow so you dont run into that problem. but after allowing it the first time as long as zone alarm remembers the program you shouldnt have that problem again.

This is true, but. In other games when Zone Alarm pops up asking if you want to let the program connect to the net. You can usually alt-tab or what ever to get to ZA and click yes. Rift hangs you up totally. You can't alt-tab, ctrl-alt-delete or anything to get out of it. You have to power off your machine and bring it back up. Then tell ZA to give the program access.

I knew what was causing Ritf to hang right away. But others may not.
