I know what error he's talking about, and it's not just when you have a target based AOE active, ready for use. It's when their is a command ready and waiting in the cursor to be used.

IE: Applying a rune to an item, try running forward and strafing left or right with Q or E, it just won't work and you'll strive on in a straight line forward!

Needs fixing, right annoying little bug.

Can you point out the bug in that video I just recorded? Because that is what i tlook slike when strafing is bound to A and D.

    Hmm,

Try this; in the following order, to a tee. Run forwards, hit the AOE spell, whilst still running forwards, try and strafe. Don't stop running forwards from start to finish.

Record that and repost. It might be an idea to determine with a difference in key-sets makes any difference to it, I can definitely conform that Q and E do not allow you to strafe, with an action ready in the cursor, when running forwards.

Might process for a few minutes, procedures on video:

Run 1: used W to run forwards, hit G for Firestorm, started strafing with A and D, released W to stop running.
Run2: used Mouse5 to toggle auto-run, clicked the spell, started strafing with A and D, clicked Mouse5 to stop running

For the record I have guildies that do not have this issue. The number of people with this issue is greater than not. The one guildie that does not have this issue does have his key binds moved a bit over on the keyboard. I don't want to learn everything with new keyboard binds. Just fix the problem so it's back the way it was before 1.9.

Also moving forward before a strafe does work but I sometimes just want to strafe. I hope we get a post by a dev on this please.

I've been having this issue as well, and I just noticed something interesting.
If I am holding a button, then start attempting to strafe, and release the original button, I will start to strafe.
Example (GT already queued up): Press Q to strafe left. Nothing happens. While holding Q, tap and release E. At that point, I start strafing left.

And yes, for some reason, rebinding strafe to A and D works; but moving them back to Q and E breaks it again.

I hope they check this out cause it is very annoying.

Do the development managers even get any of these?

Whats the harm of binding strafe to A and D btw? It's not like you need to use A and D for anythign else anyways, this way you get to bind Q and E for abilities.

I don;t see why I should change because of a bug. I sometimes use A and D to pivot left or right while channeling spells on boss movement fights where you can't move or you break cast.

    Well alright then!!! Good news...

    * Strafing with the Q and E keys while you have a ground target reticule up now works properly.
