Very Poor Connection to Rift

I've had a horrendously unreliable connection to Rift the last 24 hours.
My ping has been spiking between 250 and 4435ms.
I play from Australia and 184-235ms is standard on my connection.

nb: Hop 6-7 is crossing the Pacific and those are the times I usually get when connecting.

As you can see the connection problems are not on my end at all and are either within Trion's network or their connection to the Dallas exchange.

Looks like it's Alert.net, not Trion, just as mine is lousy if I get an AT&T hop or two. All I can do is reset my connection and hope I get better hops.

Alter.net is actually Verizon.
The * indicates a Timed Out connection which is happening almost entirely within the Trion network, that's the reason I'm posting. All of my hops to LA are perfectly normal, all my problems are coming almost entirely from within Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Looks like pnet is having issues today, it times out entirely for me on one hop and, I'm only 150 miles from Dallas. As for the high latency, that's because I have satellite and 650 ms is fantastic for satellite, generally around 1000-1500 is normal.
