this just started happening since this latest patch, so one has to assume it's patch-related. However I have an AMD Phenom X4 965 3.2ghz GTX 560 8gb ram. Any ideas why this is going on?http://youtu.be/owsOKNw2PZI

Bump, can I get some help here please.
Make sure you are using the correct/latest driver from nVidia and not any BETA drivers, once the latest correct drivers are installed go into the settings and change it back to the default settings.
Right click and run Rift as Admin if you are not doing this to see if this helps. Also using the launcher do a Recover.
Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game (were Rift is installed at) and right click and run as admin hardwaredetector.exe this will update the config file to tell Rift your hardware and performance, run as Admin in C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game (were Rift is installed at - rift-live.exe, rifterrorhandler.exe, selfpatchlive.exe, riftpatchlive.exe
I hope i have provided some help in this matter. If not maybe others can offer some better advice.
To be a healer you have to have a pure heart, one that will always think about others before yourself. My fellow man shall not fall as long as I have breathe. Trust me and stand by my side and you shall always be rewarded with life.
Thanks for the response, I've tried these things, with no avail. I have the current drivers, minus the "Beta driver" b.c I'm well aware of the issues betas can bring. I also had the beta driver for around 2 months previously I just had to remove and fresh instal my current drivers due to the issues I was experiencing with the beta driver.
It's strange, watch the video, it's only in a cpl specific places in game that it happens, nowhere else. And only recently.
I had those same issue when I play Vanguard, only a few places when I would spin the camera or looking around and hit the wall that it would act weird. Sorry I was not able to help just trying to think of something simple for you.

I appreciate your response, it was the most helpful response I've recieved as at least there was an effort. Unlike from Trion Game devs. And yes, It's only that dungeon to my knowledge but the entrance, and on one of the bosses there was a catastrophic failure of screen flashing, similar to in the entrance.
Again, thanks for your response.
NP, I wish I could have helped more.

Friend, if you are that hard up in getting the game to play...CALL TECH SUPPORT. They exist for a reason.
As Custom had mentioned, there are certain spots that it can happen. I noticed the camera was VERY far back in the cave. If the camera somehow is allowed to exit the game confines, this will happen every time. There are certain parts in caves that I get this nonsense. However, it only happens when I have camera very far back or when the camera escapes the walls/ceiling.
Also, can you run dxdiag and save the output to Pastebin or google docs and link it? It's helpful to know exactly what you are running instead of just CPU/GPU.

Another tip that may or may not work.
When you run the launcher right click it and run as administrator. Then click on RECOVER. Let the RECOVER finish then follow these steps.
Make sure your Video Drivers are current and NOT BETA drivers.
Make sure your Directx 9 is up-to-date (click on Directx9 for their site). DX10,11 will be fine as long as you have been updateing Windows through Windows update.
1. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game or C:\Program Files\RIFT Game (were Rift is installed at) - right click and run as admin on: rift-live.exe
2. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game or C:\Program Files\RIFT Game (were Rift is installed at) - right click and run as admin on: selfpatchlive.exe
3. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game or C:\Program Files\RIFT Game (were Rift is installed at) - right click and run as admin on: riftpatchlive.exe
4. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game or C:\Program Files\RIFT Game (were Rift is installed at) - right click and run as admin on: hardwaredetector.exe (this will let Rift know your system specs and does a quick benchmark)
5. Reboot and log into Rift as ADMIN and see if the issue if fixed, reduced, etc.
If none of those work follow these steps.
1. Go to the control Panel and Uninstall Rift
2. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game or C:\Program Files\RIFT Game (were Rift is installed at) - remove/delete RIFT Game folder
3. Go to: C:\Users\(User Name Here)\AppData\Roaming - Remove/delete the folder RIFT (you may or maynot have to show hidden files for this)
Reboot and download a fresh/new Install Client or run the cd/dvd install.
I am not an expert, just throwing out some ideas that may help... if there is anything else I can do let me know or just post and we all will try to help.
