Rift causes Internet to go out

Every time i start up the rift launcher, it is fine. When I log into my account, though, my internet gets disconnected. It is not the cables, firewall, or anything else, just RIFT. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Do you connect to the internet through a router or directly to the Internet from your computer?

If you conect through a Home Router try hooking it directly to the Internet.

If the game stopped working is one thing,for your internet to stop is another.

I had a problem at one point where playing online with my PS3 would trip the universal plug-and-play dealie into shutting my 'net off for seconds at a time. It would make everyone disconnect, but they'd be able to reconnect almost immediately, it was EXACTLY enough to screw me over all the time.
