Question Unable to hand in "Seek & Destroy" Quest

    Hi All,

Dunno if this has been previously reported or whatnot but there is a quest in Lotham's Strike called Seek & Destroy where you track a victim, some tracks, a prize kill and eventually you kill the person herself and then it says to complete quest return to Lotham Darkmoon in Lotham's Strike, it doesn't give you the usual waypoint or "blue tick" on the map to complete, I found it because other quests are there so I remembered the place but it won'tr allow me to hand in????

The guy just speaks to me, there is no hand in option at all but it says this NPC is the hand in location, what to do???

You aren't the only one. I put in a ticket and basically got a response "we're too busy with other things" and ticket is closed without any fix in.

So maybe they're planning on patching it so it can be turned in, but at least put that in the response. Instead I got the generic "jumble of text".

There are two instances of Lotham Darkmoon. You're trying to hand it in to the one standing above ground. You need to hand it in to the one under the tree stump.

I agree, though, this Q needs fixing so it can be turned in at any instance of Lotham (like the planar displacer Qs). It's bad enough trying to do it the first time as it is.

I can only see one version, after reading your post I have looked everywhere for the other version and cannot find him

I found after posting that there's more than two, even. There's one up by the Wardstone near KB that needs defending, and he can spawn under several different stumps offering different dailies - S&D, Firebrand, Boarpedo and so on. I'm not sure if all the quest-givers spawn at once or one a day; if the former then you need the exact one you got the Q from, if the latter then you need the one giving dailies.

Personally, I'd just call it a loss and ignore his Qs. S&D is bad - unless you know where things are the clues are terrible - but Firebrand is possibly the worst designed Q I've ever seen in any game. "Light trash piles and lure the undead across them" sounds simple enough, yeah? Well, no. 75% of them have ranged attacks, the area is wide open so you can't easily LOS them, and even if you can LOS them you have to be lucky enough to have them run across a trash pile just over one mob wide during the 30 seconds it stays alight. Should you manage all of that, you'll inevitably find that because the area is crowded and has a high respawn rate you've pulled something else and it's beaten you to death.

His Wardstone Q is pretty terrible as well - the zone has to kill 10 Tinkerers and someone needs to defend him from a wave of mobs. Unfortunately only one Tinkerer spawns near him, so someone has to stand around doing nothing for five or ten minutes while other players kill Tinkerers - and the Q is impossible to solo.

I spent the better part of two hours this evening running all over the Perspice area and Lotham's Strike area to find Lotham Darkmoon so I could turn this quest in. I've looked all over the internet and in-game chat and haven't found a response. Supposedly he is located in several different spots, but I only found him twice, and neither places were the right one for turning in the quest.

I should just move on, but I'm a bit of a completionist and the ridiculous "Seek & Destroy" quest was a bugger to begin with (I hate that so many quests don't show up on the mini-map when you right-click them). So I'm mostly responding to this thread in the event that someone may actually know a precise location of him where we can turn the quest in before I outlevel it.

Not sure if you did... doesn't sound like it: did you make sure the ancient wardstone under that treestump is actually in defiant hands?

If it reset or some guardian destroyed it... well, there's your issue. Lotham is only there when the wardstone is in defiant hands.

This sounds like it might actually be the issue. I remember seeing a Guardian foothold around Lotham's Strike in the area that I was searching. I'll go back and check on it tonight. Thanks
