    Not using that specific card, but in my immediate circle of friends, we're playing Rift on:

    * Radeon HD 6950
    * Radeon HD 5770
    * Radeon HD 5850 (mobility version, I think)

    with no problems at all. I don't think we've even seen a crash yet.

    In personal testing, I have found that AMD cards don't run the game as well as NVIDIA, but it's barely unplayable. I will be doing more testing this week to get down to the specifics, but overall, you're still going to get a great gameplay experience.

    Edit: Fixed typo.

    The latest drivers solved my problem.. I think the release date for Feb 24. Anyone the January drivers were terribad - had all kinds of screen tearing, glitching, bouncing, and etc... All problmes appear resolved now.

    I thought the issue was more around Crossfire scaling not being so great.

    At least my crossfire scaling in rift doesn't seem so great.

    Confirming that my year old 5770 runs the game just fine.

    Go read the tech support forum or post your question there. There are plenty of posts and information about card and driver issues.

    I have 2 HD6970s using latest driver release and they work just fine.

    Both of this for me! ^^

    Runs fine on my Crossfire 5770, but not a huge bump from a single 5770 (maybe 10+ frames) but I only have the crossfire in retail and very late Beta, so comparing it to a single card in say Beta 3 may not be fair....

    6870 here, usually sitting on 80FPS. (i7 2600k @ 4.5)

    Drops to around 30-40 in rifts, and up to ~150 in the outdoors.

    Crossfire offers very little improvement though.

    @SuddleD: Guess I'll wait on that second 5770. Was gonna spend my next overtime bonus on it. Maybe some 5.1 headphones instead. Anybody know if the Turtle Beach ones are worth it?

    5.1 cans are never that truly accurate (Psyko's might come the closest), but for those who like a lot of bass and an affordable price, TB usually does a good job with its cans.

    Yeah, if it was just for this game, then maybe hold off if your money can be spent more wisely. But, if you play other games that would benefit from Crossfire, it may be worth your money. But, I think for most people it was not a 50-100% increase or anything like that.

    ATI Mobility 5870 1gb running fine. I have lower frame rates then expected at around 18 in massive raids to as high as 48 in open world. It doesn't matter if I go to low settings and ultra settings...the FPS stay the same. I do have V-Sync and AA turned off as both brought my FPS even lower, especially AA, regardless of the graphical settings.

    Other than frame rates, which is in the 100s on a lot of other games, including the few dx11 games out there, the card runs solid.

    This is with an i7 intel core that goes up to 2.9 ghz on 8 cores.
