This thread has a lot to do with roleplaying, as the walking speed and animations directly impact the roleplay we engage in. For example, the speed we had earlier this year was so fast that walk-and-talk roleplay became difficult due to the fact that your character would walk into for example a tree whilst you were typing.
The new speed is much more relaxed, but it utterly broke the walking-animation which - sure, it won't prevent you from doing any roleplay in paticular - but you can easily argue that if any, roleplayers are some of the players in Rift that spend the most time with the walk-toggle on. To some extend it can ruin the sense of immersion when you watch an animation that is broken like it is currently (for most races anyhow)
As we have a very nice and open contact to Developer Krunkaton from this section and the lore section, it really seems relevant to bring a concern from the roleplay community up here so he could pass it on (which he did, and still gives us updates on the progress of a fix. Yay!) to the animationsteam. ¨
This section is not just about roleplay, but also wishes from the roleplay community to the developers, of course related to how we go about things and how the stage for roleplay can be improved.
