You can play WoW in any MMO. You don't have to play WoW in RIFT. Oh, and no, RIFT is not a WoW clone. Not having fun any more? Learn to play, noob! I don't speak for Riftui, but I moderate stuff there. Got ideas for improving the RIFT community? Feel free to PM me. Just came back? Welcome back! Here's what's changed.

Happens on the iPad as well!

I'm assuming that you'll fix all the XML style substitutions for "awkward" characters at the same time, but thought I'd list this one (also found on an iPad) too.
Thurfir
getting it too when doing the same, good for making people think wtf in guild though.
Sciva - Eth Wanderer//Selle - Sneaking Scavanger//Sorochir - Mercenary Healer
It's very annoying. I never knew how much I used ' before.

Geek explanation:
What you are seeing is known as HTML escaped characters.
It's used for security reasons, as part of a system to prevent user input from harming anything.
For example, > is escaped to >
Browsers will usually display the escaped characters, i.e. >, as the > character, but it has no function besides being displayed. It prevents HTML exploitation(i.e. user input changing/modifying the HTML the developer has written).
From face value, the mobile appears to escape all HTML/etc characters, including apostrophes. But the RIFT client can't display this as a normal browser would. I am not even sure why/if this would be needed, since it is only going to be displayed ingame, where the HTML syntax is (seemingly) not interpreted.
There is also a 'secret' escaped character that can be used to meet the 10 character limit (on forums and what-not), but the browser won't display them - not even as a space.

#11 This issue should be resolved with our newest update. Thanks for your patience, as we realize it's a pretty annoying bug =)
Thanks everyone for the bug reports and please let us know if you run into this issue after the update!
Oddly, it stopped happening to me on my ipad a day or two back.
Now I'm trying out lootables on my 4S to see whether it's stopped hanging there.
