Default Retribution -- Does it work?

I've tried using Retribution a billion times, and I cannot figure out how to make it work. The button on my bar highlights, but it never triggers. I'm definitely targetting enemies, and I'm certainly within 25m. What more am I missing?

i cannot reproduce the issue you're describing.

are you trying to move while casting it?

Yes, this ability works. It only works when the enemy receives a heal of some sort.

So for example, lets say I healed someone with the Retribution debuff on them. I healed that friendly for 2500. 15% of 2500 is a 375 heal to you. There is no ICD (for inc heals via Retribution) as far as I could see while using it in warfronts.

As for it "not working", they probably had no heals incoming.

Ah ha! I knew there was a reason it wasn't on my bar before. Guess I'm taking it off again. 1.5s cast for 15% heal siphon hardly seems worth it.

Serendipity does affect it, though, so it becomes instant with a Serendipity proc.

HOWEVER, it does not stack with other heal debuffs. In fact, it will overwrite more powerful heal debuffs from what I've seen (tested with Spiteful Spirit, so I'd assume it's the same with the others).

It's on my bar, but I never use it. I can't even think of a situation where it'd be useful.

Yeah, it overwrites other healing debuffs and its a 1.5 sec cast.

I suggest you put those 300 points some place else until they release second tier, as it hasnt been worth it even in the templar soul.

It's not so much for the healing debuff as the siphon. It's selfish, but, when a warrior zergs me in the middle of my group in, say, PS, I tend to put it on him. If he's smart he'll back away, get tons of heals (and heal me for 15% of it, which can be pretty significant). If he's not, he's going to die shortly anyway

I do agree it's a pretty ****ty ability for 300pts. Lol clerics don't even get real healing debuffs, let alone real dps. Trion hates us

It works but it doesn't really impact if you place it on a person who doesn't get healed. Retribution works when you cast it on a person (usually warriors) who is getting constantly healed. But to be honest with you it is kind of worthless and I will tell you why.

Let's say you cast Retribution on a Warrior and his healing bot heals him for 5000 health points. Guess what only 15% of that healing gets back to the cleric. Do the math: 5000 @15% is only 750. That means only 750 heals is coming back to you which is not even enough to heal an onslaught of any DPS.
