Needing Conquest for end-game PvP=BS!
This laggy broken excuse for open PvP is ridiculous! In order to gear up and get your P50 trinket, and synergy crystal, you have to Conquest. This is the biggest POS that Trion has put our there imo. The fact that you need 5x the pc that they say is recommended in order to play Conquest, only the basement freaks will be gearing up. Casual players need not even try to get p50.

As a casual player, save up your allowance and build a real computer.

Not that I don't play under a large disadvantage, but when I do get to lvl 40-50, I am hardly going to be whining about a trifling trinket and synergy crystal.
When I was rank 4 (pre-split ranks), I gave up caring if someone was p8 and decided to contribute by barding and eradicating. As far as current system goes, you don't even need pvp gear to pvp when you start out, my p5 cleric is doing a pretty decent 200k healing in the lower brackets with t2 pve gear and a pve spec.
Then again, it's a cleric. And yes, I do get facerolled when my team doesn't push. Once it does though, I'm on a saving spree.
Basement freaks aren't really big candidates for pimpin' computers. Usually its the people who have lives and jobs....who actually pay for those nice computers. Unless by casual you mean "I bought a terrible gaming PC",
I recognize it takes a lot of horse power to push Conquest. But I am not sure how you draw causual vs hardcore vs computer owned. That is more like gamer or not. Maybe you mean you are casual in that you are not a gamer in general? Gamers since the late 90's have always packed lil nicer of PC's than general to support our habit. Just what we have to do.

Is that a rhetorical question? to get the PvP gear and trinkets you have to PvP? sorry, am i missing something obvious?
I'm running a middling system (self built top of the line a bit back but getting old) and I can handle conquest just fine.
Granted I keep all non essential settings very low. But I do that anytime I pvp.
And you have to do Order of the Eye, Library and Scion in order to get BiS runes ... Totally not fair that I have to do different aspects of PvP to get the BiS items.

I got to rank 50 on a crappy computer. And I'm on the 2nd floor of my house.
It wasn't painful at all.
Additionally I'm tired of people crying that they have to PvP to get BiS items. Here's a tissue; You don't have to have every BiS. You have plenty of nice things that drop from raids. PvPrs on the other hand have subpar armor in comparison, for instance. So we have nice weapons and enchants. Why should raiders get all the nice things?

I am playing on a 2008 MacBook pro and have no problems unless massive fight then it slows down but I still blow things up.
