I agree 100% but I'm stubborn and like to complain so I will continue to keep this thread going as long as possible.

I was rank 40 with all my gear and max favor going into 1.9. I'm close but still haven't hit 50 yet and maybe after a long weekend I'll finally be caught up to the exploiters on gear. It must have been nice to have an advantage for weeks because others did not take place in the exploit. I honestly hope they roll all the offenders back so I can once again have the advantage. I want to be rank 50 and have all the fresh 50's back where they belong with **** gear and bolstered to 36 or whatever just to give them a chance. Others as I did put in the time to earn their first 40 ranks, and we should not have to be the underdog against players who have no business even being in our ranked matches.

I don't care about replenishing the PvP player base and the idea of handing out charity gear to do so is a lame *** idea as most players still won't use that gear in PvP. Anyone who wants to PvP would put in the time and do so and the gear would be rewarded proportionately to your dedication to PvP. So if anyone suggests that this actually assisted in creating more of a PvP player base your delusional.

For the record Conquest is not PvP, it's a game of PvE tag and it has thus far ruined the last shred of PvP that was left in this game.

PvP was my only reason for even playing Rift till Conquest.

Lets draw an analogy to PvE, say I showed up at HK 0/11 in Transplanar gear, no hit and there was a hypothetical "exploit" in HK/ID that would of allowed me to go full GMoA in a matter of days. This would of been shut down IMMEDIATELY. The outcry would of been enormous.

PvP in fact is treated as a niche in Rift, the primary concerns for them has been and will continue to be concentrated towards PvE. Its the indifference shown that has brought me to the conclusion to just move on, uninstalled and no longer feeding money on a bad situation. Should there be a rollback? I honestly dont have an answer to that, but I will say that in my opinion, grief gaming and "true PvPers" are not one in the same, and that in fact to me is what Conquest had devolved into from its very first day(i.e. griefing).

Rather then await some feasible answer to what will be done, I am doing what the majority of the PvP community as a whole has been doing and continues to do, leave Rift. When they merged the shards a ways back we still had 3 shards somewhat decently populated, now Derpstrike and brocliff are barren by compare. Most of the "PvP" only guilds have either left, merged or switched to burning down the castles. All these things are indicative of the present state of PvP as a whole in Rift.

I have had the honor of playing beside some fo the best PvP players on the Defiant side and a couple of the guilds. However I dont need to see clearly to see that the content that I enjoyed has and will continue to take a back seat to the predominent population and the general indifference to PvP that trion has treated it as such.

It's not exactly shocking given the state of PvP in Rift that this is Trion's respose. I would love to see a video on you tube that shows the most glorious evidence of the exloit taking place with this quote from the lead game designer as a caption throughout the entire video.

Which would prove what, exactly? No one's disputed that there was a problem. Question is, how long would it take to do a reasonable/fair rollback, and what could the devs do with that time if they just let it go? I dunno what the tradeoffs were, but I would imagine that they discussed those tradeoffs one way or another.

Indicative of a smug response to an existing situation, IF in fact this effected your precious ID you would be bemoaning "the state of". Although true I would had expected this response, which in fact is why I will no longer be playing Rift.

My personal experience with raiding went well up till I CHOSE to stop raiding. At least now when a PvEr says "you never earned your gear/rank", they have an absolutely valid point.
