They should add the timer to the iphone app!
This WOMAN can read fine. I'm just not satisfied with the explanation.
All this says is the time between matches is based on time of day, a simple factual statement. It doesn't at all say WHY on earth anyone would think a 2 hour cooldown was a good idea! There is NO REASONING given, period, just "we programmed it that way".
You, as a paying customer, maybe be happy with that answer. I, as a different paying customer, am not.
#79 Dag-- it initially set at the long cool down and then BLINK with no fanfare cut slashed to sub 20 minutes. There really does need to be consistency, a notice/announcement, something. If I hadn't logged in to figure out how many ranks I got I would have missed it. It may have a rhyme and reason to ya'll because you know the code. We don't so it has the appearance of randomness which tends to annoy many.

#81 I'm sorry that you are upset with the timing during non-peak hours.
The reason this was put in this way is that Conquest to be enjoyable, typically requires a large group of people. During non-peak hours we do not want to have it spinning up too often.
We'll keep watching how things play out - as we always do, and make changes where they make sense.

#82 I'm also thinking that maybe the extractors and opening collosi should scale in health like the end collosi does. NOT TO THE EXTENT HE DOES THOUGH! Cause he skills massively. The last battle I was in he had 41.8 mil health. Thats fine with a couple hundred people on him. However I'm noticing there is lack of strategy because extractors go down so insanely fast under the weight of so many players. You don't want it to scale to an obsurd degree but with the people in one side as it is now you would think 2 mil health or so for an extractor would be good. I'm fine with the footholds at the end not scaling since you are working against the clock.
While I can see this, I think this just isn't feasible if you want it to be well recieved. The problem is alot of people don't play or can't play at peak hours. While I am able to this week, most of the time I can't. So you are essentially penalizing people for their schedules, this needs to be taken into consideration. And as I already said. Conquest is actually a ton of fun with small groups. Its actually IMO more fun than with HUGE groups of people. But it plays differently. Trust that the actual map is good enough to stand on its own regardless of people in it. Still looking forward to playing this in the UK. Concerned about the whole couple of hours cool down and thinking maybe this feature has been over hyped. Don't get me wrong I loved tol barrad in wow where I'd get to have a large battle if I was lucky every few hours, but maybe the talk of 100v100v100 on pts for there first test made me wish for an epic battle that lasted 40 plus minutes. Just starting to worry that this'll be a cool open world pvp with pve elements arena that I'll never have time to do, especially of I can't queue for war fronts or do instant adventures while queuing.
I'm sure I'll love conquest and find it as awesome as the rest of rift, played the gw2 stress test tonight and although I love it rift still has a MASSIVE edge in my opinion, but I think it'll end up like tol barrad. Some thing I loved but would rarely queue for.
Glad we've finally got a GM replying to threads, not a good idea moving this thread though as that will just feed discontent when it should so obviously be in the pvp section, but you've got to allow us as a community to get to grips with things that weren't explained when conquest has been shown off. All through the advertising and love blogs this was scene as a massive feature and I agree it is. Just we as a community are used to instant gratification on a whole and conquest doesn't give us that.

#89 Awesome Dag-- Thanks! Now all you have to do are add conquest dailies. IO really think a daily, even if the reward was only 1 of the Conquest Marks (since doing all 3 would roughly = 1/7 of the weekly) would go a long way to helping with the faction thing. People on there own would queue as other factions and it would mean you guys would have to tweek the coded faction limits less.
