Exactly. Just pointing you are still twinking. It isn't theoretical or implied so it didn't need quotes.
You have to put a stop to your character's level progression in order to get gear that obviously out performs the content.
If you didn't lock xp, i.e. normal progression, you would maybe have a couple pieces of planar gear before you out leveled the zone and the wf bracket.
I quoted you, so there would be no confusion as to whom I was responding to.
Normal quest gear rewards aren't very good. Therefore people like to have a complete set of the planar gear/essences etc, for warfronts. Why go through the effort of obtaining the gear if you're only going to outlevel it, while you're trying to get it?
The leveling is too fast.
Hope that clears up any confusion you may have had.![]()

Logged in 45 min queue again. How hard is it to just put all lower level Battle groups in together?
Merge Battle groups and don't remove xp lock. Just mensioning the fact that xp lock is getting removed as screwed up the queue time.
Not trying to QQ just giving it to you straight.
That just depresses me. You two, and many others, like myself have been playing this game since Headstart or before then or slightly after it. All of us "old timers" (now so labeled) have quite a bit of personal monetary and emotional investment in trying to use our (now) long term player experiences in ways that have been intended to help make this game the best ever when it comes to PvP. And we know it could have been. It's very uncomfortable to entertain the thought that things will always be done in a manner that shoots itself in the foot.
Once I was told, early on in Headstart by the very mod who single handedly convinced me this game would be the best, that company attitude was NOT "my way or the highway". This convinced me to believe and to invest by way of being one of the original long term subs. That mod isn't around anymore, and I sincerely miss her. Neither is it not "my way or the highway" anymore, either.
I still want the game to be the best, including in PvP. There are many things the community has suggested since launch that have, IMO, been implemented in a perverted manner as if to be intentional slaps in the face to the PvP community. While Conquest sounds interesting, it (and Mentoring) still won't solve the Favor starvation issue that a new 50 will experience due to the upcoming loss of xp locking. That's the repercussion, and it will cause sub losses for PvP players turning 50. This won't happen immediately, but it will snowball. Maybe the truth is that it will continue to snowball.
Listen to the community. The one that is the core, that gave this game a chance and made it happen. As part of it, I say put back xp locking so people can be better prepared to turn 50 by accumulating needed Favor, but break the lower brackets into smaller ranges like 10 to 16, 17 to 20, and so on, so that "twinking" doesn't have as much impact damage wise against lower level players. Making the brackets smaller is not a new suggestion, it was suggested in the forums nearly a year ago.
My expereince has been completely different, my queues pop so fast I have to often limit my personal queues.
I started out today with the intention of harvesting mats and hitting some WF's I queued up, and BAMMM! I was in got out moved about 20 feet in game then BAMM I was in again.
Honestly the only time I see any slow or decrease in Queues is when a group of twinks enter the WF circuit...Usually youll get one or two matches tehn people stop queueing because what fun is there in being steamrolled?
You're not seeing the forest for the trees. Like I said, make the brackets smaller to help remove or at least reduce the "steamrolling" complaint and also realize that you're going to want all the Favor xp locking provides by the time a toon turns 50. Because being steamrolled as a new 50 is impacted by gear that, with rank requirements now removed for most of it, a new 50 needs right out of the gate. Lower levels are for preparing for that! Are people not going to play PvP at 50 because they absolutely will get steamrolled worse than they do now and for a very long time before they can become competitive? What's fun about that?
My queue time is 45 minutes, my time zone is in off peak. I haven't seen another twink in the last 8 or 9 weeks. Except for a couple of rare occasions. Like I said in 1st post, enjoyed my time here on Rift.
The introduction of Mercinaries has been succesful but only for a band aid fix. Not long term.
Unfortunately this problem hasn't been fixed and I think about 4 weeks ago it was possibly fixable.
Merge Battle Groups.

Hang on, are some of the Twinkletoe 'pros' trying to say that they're the only reason that low level WF's had instant queues pop and conversely are now saying this increase in queue time, which only one person seems to suffer, is now caused by said twinkletoe 'pros' nerdrage "quitting"?
bwahahahahaha, priceless![]()
I get so annoyed with some of these disparaging replies regarding level-locking. In the lower brackets any gear disparity is voluntary; anyone under-geared has made the choice to be so. Obtaining competitive gear takes minimal time. At 50, the massive gear gap is involuntary. The "cannon-fodder" cannot obtain competitive gear in a short time regardless of their willingness to put in the effort. Those who are already geared have a significant gear advantage locked in for an extended time.
Frankly, anyone r35+ who mocks "twinks" is a hypocrite.
