    Default How was Conquest?

    I missed the testing and haven't seen any threads discussing it. Could people please tell me how conquest was and what they thought.

    Big (huge) warfront with some zerging between PvE elements (pew pewing extractor thingies).

    That's not really fair to say that right out of the gate. It was a lopsided PVE game . . . but with some tweaks from what they learned on the test it could turn in to my favorite part of game.

    From what we have seen and experienced so far I'd say its more than a fair assessment

    No worse than any of the PVP in the game . . . but when teh bar is set that low it's really hard to go any lower without trying really hard.

    They stated that they did that on purpose to see how well their ideas translated to intuitive game play . .. as in their goal is "Just hit the button and play, it's obvious how to do it".

    That goal really wasn't reached, but again . . . it was just the first test and now they know how to make it better before it launches.

    I enjoyed it until everyone jumped to Zergfall. It was incredibly easy to pick up on what needed to be done and what the different nodes do. The only thing that really needs to be done is population control, which they said the free, any time you want faction change will not go to live. Other than that it was a blast, but whiny PvPers will be whiny PvPers.

    Their new PvP feature is more like a PvE contest? Go figure... I guess thats to be expected then the 'PvP' dailies are actually PvE.

    Pretty weak if thats the case.

    It was only PvE contest because as usual people were avoiding fights and running to objectives that had no one at them. A lot of people went Zergfall, I obviously don't have any numbers but if I had to take a shot from the hip 80-90% were Nightgall faction, and this caused many people to be unable to find fights as all they ever saw were their own teammates.

    Every single PVP task in the game is a PVE objective with some PVP that just happens as a side note. Did you really expect the new stuff to be any different?
