    Lol. It's obvious you've gotten too used to gear based pvp.

    I'm sorry, but most of us cannot see how bringing everyone on near equal stat levels would decrease balance. I mean, are you saying there are no godly players who have a gear advantage atm? lol

    Very OP specs out there.

    Its only Beta, and can be fixed. But heck, this is only an opinion of mine. I'm no expert in GW2 at the current time.

    BTW. Yes I will continue to play Rift, and play GW2 together. GW2 has no subscription, and even if it did, 12.99 / mth is what, 43 cents per day? If you can afford an extra .43 cents a day, well you shouldn't be playing computer games in the first place then.

    My melee thief hit so hard AN is reducing it's damage (which I think is great).

    If you're going to be on that stress test Monday I can show you what someone can do with all the utility/CC of some of the classes.

    Agreed that's its not perfect ... but beta felt more balanced than Rift does now.

    And there are reasons why (namely, things simplify when you're not dealing with so many souls and when you remove heals).

    There were ways I was able to keep the thief at range, and what I had was a dead thief. I played a warrior last beta. I was under-impressed with their melee abilities vs their ranged abilities.

    As for CC. I really did not notice it much at all being used in the beta except for lock down CCs used by the stealth classes. But that could be because a bunch of new people where just mashing what ever button they had and did not tweak their PvP build. To me, Solid CC is utilization of roots, stuns, silences, fears, mez, and to a lesser extent debuffing. And I stand with my original post. There was little to none of that going on at all during the weekend. But that can be a factor of ignorance vs mechanics.

    Not hating on GW2. Just pointing out what I saw.

    People have this full-****** KILL TEH HEALARZ mindset, and then cry about getting dps'd down while they can't kill the cleric kiting them with stacked HoTs. That's why things like the warden nerf happen.

    Target the squish. Kill the squish. Then kill the hard targets. You don't prioritize a tank with a pocket healer who pushes into you -- why do you try to prioritize a defensively-geared healer?

    I'm a little concerned about how this affects PvE. Would be pretty simple to make it something that only triggers - or rather, doesn't trigger - while "flagged," would it not?
