    Brb making cleric to auto run flag.

    Just train a bird to tap my heal soothing stream key while auto run does its work.



    Lol. Teamwork. Try strategyless zergball.

    Ground Ports? Sure.

    Target dependent ports? WTF, stop smoking that ****.

    Run speed buffs? Just. Die.

    Yay! Instead of having roguefall and roguedex, we now only have partly roguedex, all others are cleric domain!

    Seriously though, it was absolutely disgusting how many rounds of 15v15 I could win, literally, on my own. 5 caps, 2 carrier kills, 2 returns...it happened.

    Why not allow Rogues with Riftstalker specs unable to queue. Problem solved.

    Instead, they pick up a flag and hit numlock, since everything they rely on to stay alive is in those 2 sentences. Brilliant change.

    Lol, more likely it's actually gonna be fun again. Sending 1 team down with a tank, and having to escort the tank back while another group defends. Whitefall was fun before everyone started rogue running, and now it will be again

    My RS spec has 8 buttons I could not use as a flag carrier if such changes happen. Pretty much fun to the max.

    I'll save the long winded paragraph about how as a RS myself there is a lot of things people can do to completely ruin my day as a flag runner. But if Trion is dead set on this lame change, instead of making more of our buttons useless just make carrying a flag debuff Guardian phase and force us to be stalker phase. It's the mobility + guardian phase that makes us awesome - especially once deflect was a stat we gained. If rogues had to run flags in stalker phase those ports and run speeds would be much less amazing as they are a world of difference squishier in that phase.

    Or don't change it and don't make a change just assuming the masses are mindless bad players. Just play it out in your head and look at the tools all players have and what an RS is limited to. Use your imagination. It's not idiot proof. Especially when someone clever and aware is on the other team. My RS gets trashed plenty trying to run just because I get too much heat and proper CC effects. Or people don't all run at me in a 15 man forming a 100m diameter scattered pack. That's probably the worst thing you could do.

    A strong healer class or great tank with heals can be just as effective. Sure we've all seen the RS rogue who died because he was taking too much heat and busting all his run buttons and got out of range of healers and ate dirt. It's not like typing /god in.

    The no-talent ***-clowns will complain they cant smash their face on the keyboard and fly halfway across the map. The rest of us will rejoice. It only took Trion a full year to make this sensible change to Whitefail Steppes.

    I don't think anyone disagrees with nerfs to Riftstalker flag carrier builds. Except of course the rogues saying "gg Trion, now RS is useless for everything in the game!" This change, however, seems really inelegant. So much of RS survivability is tied to their ports, take them away and you really are neutering a tank's ability to tank in PVP when they need the mitigation the most. Give RS an ability to port to their current location in order to get buffs up (and allow mages and clerics to flicker in place for cc break) and i agree with the change. RS tanks want this in PVE as well.

    Do we have any word yet on what other changes have been made to the map to warrant adding "Avalanche" to the name?

    If all this is going to be is baddies and ignorant people crowing about RS runner nerfs, I'm headed the right way for some infractions because I'm getting tired of this nonsense. I go into WS now and EVERY MATCH, WHETHER THE OTHER TEAM HAS A ROGUE ON IT OR NOT, my entire damn team refuses to cross the river (usually they won't even leave our base, but they're still half stuck in Escalation mode after the weekend). So how does this change fix that?

    It doesn't. Because runners weren't what was causing it. Bad players were. I swear I'm going to start accumulating videos of all the badisms I see in warfronts and have a little montage to show what really happens when you see the game through reasonably competent eyes.

    FYI

    They're all sitting in the base because if they leave a riftstalker walks in and gets a free cap.

    Thank god they're finally fixing whitefall. I don't know any non-riftstalker pvpers that actually queue up for that trash map. But I will be when they fix flag running!

    I honestly don't even remember the last time a rogue flag runner got around me, and I'm not even that good.

    Well more I look at it they say it's a Whitefall they are trying. It just seems awkward if the only differing part is the lack of run speed ability. Aside from removing blue bubbles that is not a new version of whitefall, thats just seeing how all the players do in whitefall with potential nerfs (obvs rogue biggest target of this). So I guess I am confused. Is there really some significance to this new whitefall, or it is a 'politically correct' way or something of saying 'we need a gimmick to inherently nerf the hated RS in CTF without making it out as a blunt nerf".

    Like, would this have any impact on Library/both versions of black garden/Port Scion? What about PvP rifts? I guess that is where I am confused. If they wanted to nerf the rogue movement while 'carrying objectives' I think they would have just came out and done that since theres quite a few areas of the game that you may say the RS is ideal for because of its mobility. But do they feel the problem is only in whitefall or are we all being paranoid and is there more to this 'avalanche' mode and were reading into it too much from preliminary notes?

    If my paranoid suspicion was right then I would almost be expecting a similar nerf to mobility in all the other areas I mentioned. It's funny, you can do way more powerful things in stuff like Black Garden : panic mode or whatever it's called. Sup RS can pretty much port from the cleansing clicky to the circle then drop a couple ports back to the clicky in several seconds. Did they create a monster they can't contain?
