Default Bug with 1.6 Ember Isles: Essences

I know that the stats were nerfed some, but what is happening is this. The "total" crit it is giving is the actual "crit" listed on the essence. Under Physical Crit, it should also be applying crit received from the increase in dex and it is not. Dex should help ap, crit and dodge, it helps the others but not the crit.

Can you please check on this and verify?

(I have done this with my spreadsheet and kept screenshots of before and after adding new essences so maybe I'm missing something but it doesn't appear accurate)

    thanks

Are you over the soft cap?

My crit is 45+5%, so I have like 50.32 crit %.

It's a good question actually. I know the soft cap is "around" 50% but to be honest I'm not perfectly sure.

When I get home I can post my before/after stats, I'd appreciate the constructive input if you feel that it's actually me and not the game.

Soft cap is 45% or 1187 rating.

That's timely info about Crit, I for one appreciated it since I seem to have lost my pieced together list of hard and soft caps for toon stats. You (or anyone) got a link to a probably accurate and current list of hard & soft caps for stats? There should be a stickie in General for that info.

Don't need info about what tooltips show, such as how much Hit or Focus is needed.

Why do you even bother getting your crit over 1k O.o ? AP is way more valuable at that stage ! What a waste...

First, you have to understand how AP and Crit work in terms of PVP and PVE. I don't PVE. AP is better for PVE. Second, you have to understand how the two impact certain abilities.

Depends on what class you are, Warrior or Rogue. From what I understand quite a few Rogue abilities that have an AP modifier in their damage calculations.

As far as Warriors, AP is good after you reach the crit cap in PvP, simply because the lack of a better choice. Dex/Crit becomes pretty marginal after 1187 rating. We have "some" modifiers to AP like Don't Make Me Angry (30% after getting crit), 10% AP in T1 Champ Talents, etc. If you're 51 RB, AP modifies your Bursts (not by much...but ehh...).

There is a noticeable increase in your top end crit when you have Words of War/Whispered Silence, Red Buff, Don't Make Me Angry all up. So it doesn't hurt.

Also remember that % crit based buffs bypass the soft-cap until 60%. That means that the Bard buff 5% (if you're so lucky as to run with a PvP Battle Bard), Killing Fields (9% after kill...which I think is better than current Bloodthirsty), and Paragon Flowing Strikes/Double Jeopardy all boost crit way past the 45% point.

Lol of course silly me... I never PvPed with my R8 and don't rly have those 60k+kills so how would I know that AP>Pcrit @R8. Don't even read this post as it is totally useless.
