I got it!
WOW = Chilli's (or Applebees if you like them better) - because it serves everyone. You can get a nice burger or steak at chilis but you can also get chips and dip- and, it's a National Chain
Yep - I'm sticking to that one.

Hey, 11.5 million people can't be wrong - right ? ;)
My friends bugged me for months to join them in WoW and I resisted. But then they bought two more accounts and needed someone to help them 4-box, so I agreed since it wouldn't cost me anything and they needed the help.
But after leveling one character to 31 (on my own account) and another to 39 (their account) I am still not impressed. Leveling is MUCH too fast and easy, and I still can't get used to the horrible character models after playing SWG and Vanguard. The instanced dungeons are a joke, and the lack of a death penalty leaves me feeling un-challenged. At level 29 I soloed all of the quests in that desert race track where the mobs are 31-35. I came close to dying twice, so at least I had a little excitement.
I do like exploring, and venturing into areas with mobs 10+ levels above me is about the only challenge I've experienced. The world is interesting, beautiful in some places, and the game runs very smooth and fast on my PC. I like the little effects like footprints in the sand, and critters scurrying about. I also like the wind rider transportation system, and the fact that the boats work. But overall, WoW just isn't fun for me because I've already played better games.

Dual Targeting - The Targeting System of the Modern MMO
If the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy was made by today's MMO designers, the first 8 hours would be condensed into 30 minutes, and the last hour would be stretched out over 8.5 hours. It would be all about 'The Ending' and not about 'The Journey'.
imo...
eq1 = leftovers.
eq2 = leftovers with fresh gravy.
wow = a happy meal, compete with toy surprise.
vg = an undercooked pizza with everything.
telara = ?? maybe gmos?
Edited to change one item hehheh

Welcome to live ..life awaits you
OK, my friend, just for you:
EQ = Old style pizza parlor. No delivery service. The kids can watch them make the pizza though a large window. Good beer, good pizza, good times. But, you have to get dressed, get the kids ready, and drive there.
SWG = <insert your favorite delivery pizza here>. Delivered hot to your door in 30 minutes. It tastes fantastic, but after two slices the delivery man returns and takes your remaining pizza and leaves you an un-cooked, frozen, plain cheese pizza.
Vanguard = <insert your favorite delivery pizza here>. Delivered hot to your door in 3 months. It is missing some of the toppings that were promised in the coupon. Eventually you get the missing toppings, but in the meantime other toppings are removed. You never do get all that was promised, but the pizza tastes good anyway.
WoW = Di Giorno Frozen Pizza. Tastes good, nice and convenient right out of your freezer. So easy to make you can have one of the kids cook it for you. You like it, but it's just not as good as delivery pizza.

That doesn't really make much sense - as the second really visual mmo, and the first 3d one, how could EQ1 be leftovers? I get EQ2 maybe sunday leftovers heated up or something... but EQ1?
EQ1 - McDonalds plain hamburger and therefore WOW - cheeseburger happy meal with toy surprise?
VG was a crumbled oreo cookie - it had potential to taste really good

Lol lol - I'm originally from Australia - so it's Tim Tams for us - and I'm female ;) I love Oreo's and I loved VG, but they dropped the packet of oreo's and crushed them and they didn't taste as good as they should have - although I guess they could have been put in a McFlurry?
*tries to get her head around this*
So, if I look back at the first time someone made - let's say the oreo cookie. Then that oreo cookie is now considered leftovers? Insert BigMac, Whopper - anything. Looking back on something in the past makes it leftovers and not an innovation of cooking techniques?
Understood, sir!![]()
poor oreos...it tasted good...while it lasted. For the record, I used to be quite possibly the biggest VG fanboi for a while. (like some time ago)
