I mean those were the reasons why I logged on. Massive pvpers at your castle gate bashing the door. They break it open and you prepare for a flood of players. Hold the first floor, hold the second floor, hold the throne room.

Huge mistake by them to disable it all. And then they killed Warhammer even more by introducing zone tasks which got away from individual castle fights. It was just brutal.
Wait what? They disable keep battles? Wow...just wow. That may be the dumbest thing I've ever seen a MMO company do. And I've seen alot of dumb things in my many years of playing MMO's.

As I said before, I'm a hardcore mode PvP fan. I like consequences. Given that, ever since I started playing Mortal online last month, I can't see me doing PvP anywhere else. Just the idea of riding someone down on a war horse whilst wielding a pole sword and watching them try in vain to scurry away is amusing beyond compare!

PvP mechanics wise... it is Skyrim style first person combat. It is however brutal. You die, you lose everything you have on you... so you have to be careful and always be wary of your surroundings. Ganks happen... but so do I

Comments on the game stability? I heard it was very buggy/missing tons of features. This was some time ago so I'm curious to know what kind of shape the game is in now.

It has some bugs but nothing game breaking. In short, it is a lot more functional than Age of Conan is.
