Default Rift similarity to Allods Online

Before Rift i played Allods Online, and have to say, that Rift reminds me of this game. Graphic and even physic looks very similar. Then user interface. And level cap in AO is 50 too, well this is just coincidence. And both goes very lagy, especially in cities.

If either of those games are laggy to you... it's your PC acting up. I don't lag in Sanctum or Meridian here and I play on the game's most populous server. I do however have a monster PC.

I have to disagree. I actually like the Models of Armor and weapons in Allod more than Rift. they have fantasy gear like WoW, which is the style I enjoy most in a fantasy MMO.

not too over done like Aion, but something high fantasy, and fits in.
Lets Go Rift. Hope Archeage can do something next. Lets Save Rift

I played Allods Online sometime before getting into Rift, this is probably 1½ years ago now.
And the games are not similar, really. Graphics style in Allods was realistic-inspired yes, but still very different.
The UI is basic for most MMORPG's these days.
Level cap at 50 is also pretty basic for a lot of MMORPG's, especially newer ones - SWTOR for example, also has level cap at 50. Lag in cities is also generic for MMORPG's. Ever heard the term Lagaran from WoW?
Selection of races and such also strike me as very different.
Oh and then theres the big thing about Allods being pay to win.

About UI, east mmos is quite different than west. Level cap, as i said, is coincidence.
Nope, in WoW i didn't encounter lag in cities. But he is much older.
Ja, races are very different. You have pay to play Rift, pay to win Allods. You have to.. pay nowadays

I noticed that too. Armor and weapons in Allods got that "epic feel". In Rift it's more "real feel"

About lag, that was like a joke. I understand that problem is low specs. Well, Allods was much more lagy, not just in city halls where all high level char lurks.

ZOMG WoW is not high fantasy armor. It is WoW's rip off of Warhammer war gaming armor. That was intentionally over the top kinda stuff. Google ceremonial plate armor. Pre-WoW that was basically High Fantasy armor. Due to the ornamentation, precious metal inlay etc it was not battle field practical BUT there was a time when artists in rendering their work took the care to be sure the armor looked like you could actually move in it

Tbh I thanked god when I saw much of the armor in Rift looked realistic, even more when they introduced appearance slots so I do not have to display the over the top stuff. I simply hate WoW like armor.

I don't think they're similar at all. I played Allods and didn't like it at all, but love love love Rift!

I've only played the betas of Allods Online.. but from what I remember about the graphics, is that it was all cartoony. Perhaps this changes over the past year, but I doubt it. Either way, in no way comparable to the graphics of Rift.
