Default So, I brought the game...

... and I really really like it (level 31 now), but is it as dead as this on every server?

When I first started out I did abit of research to find a decent pop server (for gaurdians) and Bloodiron was said to be one of the best... but I have hardly seen anybody... even in Sanctum (which is I guess, what orgrimarr is to wow).

Finding a group for group quest is impossible. Literally havent found a group for a single one, tho not through lack of trying.

Finding a guild, is difficult. Even with the guild finder. I joined a guild, and it was just a bunch of random dudes who didnt know each other (Silent guild chat, did nothing together). I've have queried other guilds through it but havent recieved a reply so I assume they are inactive....

Even LFG takes a long time to get a group, and I queue as a TANK, which in other games usualy gives you a instant invite (I dont expect instant invites btw, just invites that dont take 2 hours to come through)

What to do? Is it worth bothering going to max level? Worth resubbing after my month is over? Is it different at 50?

If the servers are really this dead, then server mergers are absolutely needed imo. New player experience is pretty crappy I must say, not because of game design, but because of server population.

I don't play on the EU cluster so I'm no expert on your servers... but looking at http://www.Riftstatus.net it looks like Bloodiron's pop is fine. Rift is an end game MMO. It is a challenge finding groups at lower levels since you don't spend much time leveling here. My guild is fairly large and we get new people all the time. It seems that it takes a completely new person around 2 weeks to make 50.

50 is where the game starts. All the content pre 50 is miniscule in comparison to the post 50 content. LFD queues are cross server as well... it is just a case of the fact that Rift focuses on endgame here and if likely why you don't get groups for your level range leading up to 50.

Rift doesn't do server mergers. Transfers are free and you can do them once per week within your cluster (I don't think you can transfer to the NA cluster without some sort of CSR intervention).

End game is fine that what I am asking, does pick up at 50 then?

It just seems really dead from a new player perspective. I can count the amount of other players i have seen, outside of BGs and dungeons, on one hand.

As far as i know, the Defiants are overrepresented on Bloodiron. Also if you pick a pvp server there will be less people out in the regions doing quests. I was on the server with an alt for a month and i saw a ****load of people hanging around in Meridian all day, but out in the regions it was more or less empty.

If you want more people out in the regions then move to the more populated PvE servers. Icewatch have a high population on both fractions, and Blightweld do as well.
If you want to stay PvP then i suppose it is not that many options for you then Bloodiron.

    What this said.

And anything (zones, LFG) between Lv 20-42ish, depending on the server, will be low pop. Players are mostly either new, or Lv 50(ish).

So its either about enjoying your (somewhat solo) journey to 50 (again depending on server), or powerleveling through dungeons/PvP so you can get to Lv 50 content asap.

I know on Faeblight that even in the middle of the night, there's enough people in Scarlet Gorge to do a zone event, which is amazing - but this an RP-PvE server. Heck, this server is pretty active in general, compared to pretty much most PvP servers.

Moving your character do not cost anything, you can do that one time each week to any server you desire. You have to be level at least 15 and not on trial account, other then that you can move when ever you want.
