What kind of a guild is Gunbad ?
Gunbad is a very casual mmorpg guild for adults over the age of 25. Our average age is somewhere around 40. We do not concern ourselves much with pixels and rather concentrate on having a good time in-game. Everyone, any level, any Rift experience, any class, from any timezone is welcome to join. This is a very inclusive, friendly and casual guild, inclusive for anyone over 25 that is.

How many people are there in Gunbad ?
I came back to Rift second week of May, few of my guildies have followed. It is currently 5 of us playing regularly. Two other guilds have been talking to me about mergers and two people on this forum have expressed interest in the guild so far. Whatever happens please keep in mind that Gunbad will forever remain a casual guild that simply does not want to become large.

What are the requirements to join Gunbad ?
You have to be at least 25 years of age, there is no other requirements. Nobody in this guild cares what you play, how you play it or if you are any good at it. Any class, any level - literally everyone (over the age of 25) is welcome. This is a casual guild, none of these things are an issue.

How do I register on the Gunbad.com website ?
Our guild website is for guild members only. You have to join our guild in order to be able to participate on it.

How do I join you on your Ventrilo server ?
Our Ventrilo server is for guild members only. You have to join our guild in order to be able to participate on it.

How do I join Gunbad ?
PM me right here on the forum or send me in-game mail to LICHO. The easiest thing to do would be to look up "Gunbad" on the guild finder and send us a PM (mention that you read the recruiting thread, are over 25 and would like to join).

What are the goals on Gunbad ?
Our goal is to have a great time with great friends. Please note that loot, min-maxing or raiding do not feature in the previous statement.

Is Voice chat/Ventrilo a requirement ?
Not at all, but we do have a private Ventrilo server and encourage everyone to jump on. Our Ventrilo server, along with our website, is our social hub. Where as our website would be an equivalent of a discussion, Vent is more of a night club/coffee shop feel (unless you end-up in thesame channel with Nerdizzle or Slumlord and then it will feel more like a Mexican prison).



I think I have covered most of what's fairly important as far as deciding what guild you want to join. If you have any questions please PM them to me here or ask them in-game. My toon name is LICHO.

Right now this is a great guild for solo players who simply don't like guilds Due to high rank (currently 14) you get plenty of perks that make it well worth it. At some point we can perhaps revive it to the point where it would be considered active. We'll see what the future brings.

Well, we are slowly building our ranks and transferring our toons o this server. We are at 3 members right now Sure is a striking difference from the days when we have 30-40 people online at thesame time with 3x that many offline.

What's the worst that could happen ? you'll decide to move to a bigger, more active guild - not a biggie. Either way your experience with Gunbad is sure to be pleasant.

One of our guild members, Fulkk, passed away on the 29th from a heart attack at a young age of 50. He will be missed by all who knew him more info on www.gunbad.com.

25 or older, if you consider yourself a mature individual despite your younger age you're welcome to give us a try. But chances are you will find us incredibly boring ;)

Our recruiting continues to stay open for all levels, all classes. The only requirement of minimum age of 25.

Our fellow Gunbadian Edward Niecikowski a.k.a. Fulkk passed away May 29th this year from a heart attack that was a result from complications due to Muscular Dystrophy.

In lieu of flowers, I previously suggested a donation be made in Fulkk's name to the MDA ( http://www.mda.org/ ). Sharzade/Oc'tavia/Scary (who was Fulkk's gaming buddy) has been in contact with Faulkk's family and they agree that a donation would be an appropriate gesture.

We also have another member of Gunbad that has has a genetic disorder that the MDA funds/does research on. Z has nemaline myopathy.
