I would be ok with a squirrel mount as long as only I could see the mount after having eaten this funny looking mushroom I found in Stillmoor.
I would pay good money for a Battle Squirrel mount. On the other hand, I wouldn't say no to a giant War Fox either.

Once again I'm loving the suggestions, especially ones that help to build this awesome creature into the lore.
Instead of just having it cost platinum, or planarite and faction... why not build a quest chain that has you travelling across Talara in pursuit of the perfect Squirrel specimen to ride as your trusty war mount? It doesn't have to be too difficult or complicated, but an entertaining, squirrel-themed quest chain that you'll have to complete prior to dealing with the platinum or planarite price-tag. Maybe take a page from Age of Conan and have the mount originally start off as a non-combat or combat type pet that you have to raise (level, feed, whatever) over time before it grows to an unreasonably large size and you're able to toss a saddle on it.

The war squirrel absolutely has to be able to scale trees as well. Oh, and nuts are visible on the radar. While AFK for a bit the squirrel should angrily chatter at other nearby non-squirrel mounts. And finally, when stopped, it'll rear back on its hind legs once in a while to look around him in a furtive squirrel-like manner.
Your trying to play a sorc in a warfront, you cast 5 spells, your out of mana. you drop back to drink a pot. Their is 3 pets on you, you have no mana. the game tells you "you are in combat" WTF can you do? nothing.. no mana. 3 pets hitting you while thier owners sit in their base with the fang carrier.
Bump for this thread. This needs to be stickied as well. Also, we should probably get this moved into the suggestion box. Also, devs? Make this happen, or I bring in the roll of duct tape, the crock pot, and the half quart of turpentine. Again.

VOTING YES FOR GIANT SQUIRREL MOUNTS. I want both regular and epic armored versions. I'd also like a flying squirrel variant -- one which doesn't fly per se, but can leap up trees and glide back down.
Now that is a battle squirrel. If we are going for mounts, then I want a mechanical one. This game almost has a magical steampunk feel on it. Well so far just been in freemarch so still learning the game.
