Funny thing is,

I actually have a pet squirrel. His name is Adhuil, (it means "lucky" in Irish. Considering that he lived through being chased and attacked by our cat, it's a fitting name) and even though I absolutely adore this animal, I would think it a bit campy to add a " battle squirrel."

I like Rift BECAUSE it is not a cartoon. Please let's not turn it into one so quickly.

I write to you today with a simple request. First, I love the squirrels in this game. Since I play a Dominator, I have a special affinity for the lil furry guys and i'm currently in the process of collecting the planar squirrels like they're pokemon... and I have no love for pokemon...

So it is with the love of these long-tailed rats in my heart that I humbly request you to add, at some point in the near future, a giant squirrel mount for me to proudly ride around Telara. Add some plate armor to the guy and make him an epic lvl 50 110% mount and I will subcribe for life.

Assuming I'm not the only one who would save up every spare piece of tin in order to buy one of these guys, please sign below with your supprt and perhaps we'll see such a thing in a future release!

In my professional opinion that would be akin to wrapping a filet mignon with bacon; mainly, making something that's already awesome, in and of itself, that much more awesome.

So, yeah, a [Swift Battle Squirrel of Fire] would be sweet! Why not have one from each planar realm (akin to the non-combat pets) as well as a vanilla one? Maybe they could be Exhaulted rewards from the rift factions...

Requesting more squirrel love in this thread!

For those who think that it might be too silly (and I could understand why), I honestly think that they could make them look ferocious with plate armor, etc, so they're less of a "joke" and more of an actual war mount. Who's to say that these rodents couldn't grow to an unnatural size?!

If you're still not convinced, do you think new mounts should be added? If so, what kind? Personally, aside from the guardians lion mount thing and the Namjoks, or whatever they're called, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the options and think there's room for more. Battle squirrels just seemed the obvious choice

Maybe it's already in game and you just don't know about it. Collect all kinds of squirrel pets (Storm, Shadow, etc.) and combine them to get a battle squirrel mount.

Now this person has vision!

Once you acquire all of the elemental squirrels for each planar faction, you can access... Swift Mega Squirrel Mount. Complete with snazzy squirrel Power Ranger/Voltron/Captain Planet combiner animation. Bonus points if the feet and tail have squirrel heads on the ends each matching the elemental squirrels.

Instead of theory crafting, reading raid strategies or arguing in the mage forums about how to better the class, I'm here in General chat campaigning for "moar skwerrels!!"
