Thanks for the info guys/gal's :P I just wanted to know if they can connect or not.. If a corporate key is out of the question they will just have to fend for themselves.

Just to also verify I spoke with Scott Hartsman at Rift Gamer Day and asked this very question. I am in an international guild and had many members who were worried if they were going to implement IP blocks. Mr. Hartsman was very clear that they had no intentions of blocking any regions at this time. He said they won't be selling to certain countries, but if you can get a copy of the game through Amazon or something, then anyone could play it anywhere.
