healing party portraits

Is the following problem mine alone or have others encountered it? Is it intended or an actual bug/is everyone aware of it?

I cannot use the party portraits to cast a heal on party members. I can use the party portraits to target said members and then cast a heal on them. But I cannot keep my hostile target and click on the portrait to cast the heal. I can click on the actual member if they are on screen to cast the heal.

For that you need a real Dual Targeting system.

I'm guessing that's what you're used to doing.

I think the only way to do that in the current targeting system is to make the mob your 'Focus Target', but then you have to use SHIFT+ <ability> to attack it.

Or, assuming everyone in your group is attacking the same mob, you can turn of Target-of-Target.

You'll find a page full of confusing checkboxes off the Main Menu which attempt to make this system work like Dual Targeting.

no...i think we've misunderstood each other. My problem is that the portraits are not considered targets for a toggled spell. If have an enemy targeted and I hit the hotkey for a healing spell then the mouse cursor is ready for a click to cast. If I mouse over myself or a party member the cursor glows indicating I can cast the heal on them. But if I mouse over party portraits then it does not glow and I cannot cast.

I can use the party portraits to change my target and then push my healing hotkey. then it casts on the target right away without a toggle.
