    It was a bit of a surprise but cope-able. It does seem to be a little random as to how long you can stand in one spot before it spawns. I found I usually could use 1 charge upgrading, move, use another, without attracting attention, but sometimes that got me another AoE. Also, and I'm not certain about this, I think it was nailing my beacon of despair and channeling damage at me, but there was such a big horde I couldn't be sure. I'm sure they'll monitor and tweak it appropriately.

    Like Talila, I had zero problems with the rend telara mechanic.

    I did 2 onslaughts at Citizens Library, by myself. I had no issues with killing all of the mobs, keeping turrets and lifesprings charges up (to full charges) etc.

    I even went afk inside the little building where the daily quest giver is at. Rend Telara doesn't happen inside there, like someone claimed.

    As long as you keep moving, you won't have any issues.

    Only problem I see with the mechanic is it looks like maybe the turret NPC's cause the mechanic to fire? I dunno, I was actively pulling about 4 groups of mobs, running through the onslaught area to group them all up and one of those things spawned and dinked my life pretty low, letting mobs kill me.

    There needs to be some intelligence built into this new anti-afk mechanic.

    1. It should not fire if only 1 person is present.
    2. If you insist on using it on solo players there should a 3-6 second delay on the damage.
    3. If you're channeling a 6 second upgrade it should not fire on you.

    I shouldn't have to heal to full after invasion. I'll take on 2-3 packs at once, be down to 40-50% health and this stupid bubble will appear. After strafing out I'm down to 20% health and if I happen to be out of planar charges I'm probably going to die.

    Also a bot most likely won't be channeling a spell to upgrade their turrets so let the channel finish before you drop the bubble. Wasting a charge just makes this more boring than it already is. Your fix is causing a quality of life issue for the players who are honest.

    I died once when I looked down to take a bit out of a sandwich.
    I died again when I walked 6 seconds away to grab a pop.
    I died again when I grabbed a kleenex to blow my nose.
    I died multiple times when the bubble dropped on my head at low health because it ticked twice after I was clearly out of the bubble.

    I'm not too sure what happened..

    But when I used the porticulum to travel to Tempest Bay, as soon as I zoned in, everyone who was standing at the zone in spot was hit with Rend Telera.

    There was a pile of dead bodies there, so I'm assuming that it had been happening before I zoned in. Most of the people who were standing there (who weren't dead) were at about half life.

    AoE is so unimaginative. They should have used a Saboteur npc that places a time bomb style death charge on you and generated a PURGE OR DIE reactive.

    Yeah it's an ok idea but it needs to be toned down and also it's quite buggy -- I've had it spawn while moving and attacking enemies, which is almost always a death sentence if I'm solo.

    The Rift Tear killed me several times on my 53 defiler while defending onslaughts solo.
    It spawned on me and one second later i was dead.
    Most funny (weird) spawn was after destroying a planar anomaly and waiting to be charged, hehe.
    Well i got planar tear charged :P

    But i won't complain - just give feedback

    The spawn times seem to be really random, but can be REALLY short. I've had one spawn on me in the 1-2 sec it took to turn in the onslaught quest. It's also super annoying for melee when it spawns on ranged mobs, especially when there is nothing near to LOS them with, as I can't hit them and can't get them to move otherwise. It seems they need to tweak it a LOT. I'd think it would be enough to combat the bots to make it only spawn when you're not channeling an upgrade or in combat. The bots spend a LOT of time just sitting there with no mobs near and they never upgraded anything, at least that I saw. They should also have it give a warning instead of just ticking damage immediately.

    While they're looking at onslaughts they need to make all the quest givers non-aggro. It's stupid and annoying to have to kill several invasion just so you can pick up the quest for killing invasions! Adding a central area to pick up all of the onslaughts for the zone would be nice too.

    Thought you'd like to be the first to know - in the next Hot Fix we're planning to make Nexus Infusion not be cancelled by movement. Meaning you can continue to channel the ability while dodging AoE's permitting you don't go out of range.

    pretty sure either in the patch notes or a dev reaponse said there are some temporary fixes in place until they get a better method of dealing with the botters/afkers

    "As for onslaught botting, that will be handled via a more creative content solution that is currently in development, in a coming hotfix"
