    The problem is you DON'T always get credit if you don't tag the boss. I, and my guildies, have had several occasions in Ashora where I've killed invasion mobs, closed 1 or 2 rifts and didn't get credit for the event because I didn't hit the boss.

    In short, hitting the boss is the ONLY way to be 100% sure of getting your reward.

    Wouldn't even 100% this, either. As I know at least with chocolate Rift and the Kain event, just tagging Kain had a tendency to offer no reward as I know it happened to me twice personally.

    Otherwise, I'm in the, "Just do the event!" camp. Eventually these bosses are gonna be old hat and people won't care to see them without really changing the whole moocher dynamic. But I know I'll be pissed if I'm playing at 3am and the minimum HP on a boss winds up being 35m+ for a dozen or less people to take down just because some got uppity here.

    To be fair you get an extra stone when tagging the boss. But he dies too fast

    I was under the assumption that this is just how it works. I've never been rewarded for an event without having tagged the boss.

    There should be a 5-minute warning period or something to where the boss has to be summoned from a rift. Most importantly it allows everyone actually participating to actually get there and doesn't mess up the train of folks who, in my mind, abuse the guild rally to get a free ride.

    It appears as if this was a ninja fix that did not make it into the notes. His hp is in line with the other zone bosses now.

    Talked to Amary - she's already on getting the note up there, but wanted to let you all know that we did indeed prove the bosses HP scaling for the Return of the Fallen event in today's Hot Fix.

    They did fix the HP of the Rise of the Fallen boss.

    I just completed the event a little while ago. He had much more HP and people were able to catch up easily after he spawned.

    you must be the unluckiest person ever, I get the zone event rewards all the time without tagging the boss. If I am busy with something else I will kill a few invasions or close a rift and go back to what I was doing, wait for the IS to turn up once the event is over

    All you need is a friend at the boss. Then that friend runs around picking up all the guild rally banners that are the reason the boss dies so fast while you make your way over there

    That is just the opposite, those that do jump in or waiting at portal will mostly make it because they can instantly port to the closest location, whilst the people running in the area actually doing the event will be to far off. I even stopped trying unless the boss spawns next to me.

    I am frequently using banners, but i don't even spawn them anymore, not even if the boss is at 100% when i reach there, because people using it wont be able to load fast enough to actually hit the boss.

    I thought this was something that they would fix since the event is highly populated and it was even said in a post from devs, so i am disappointed to hear that this is not the case.
