It will most likely be the weekend of 19th. (Not this weekend, but the next) Trion rarely does beta weekends back to back. And the third one will most likely be the week of the second.

I'm already pining for the next beta too. I had a BLAST this past weekend. The **** was just amazing!!! And the part where the **** ** ****** of the ************ appears and you have to ****** against the masses of ****** **** ********.... OMG that was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know, they're going to have a beta weekend the same weekend as their Extra Life event?

Given that Trion CMs and Devs actively participate in the entire 24 hours, I don't think they'll be running a beta and be on their Extra Life server at the same time. It could be though, just a ton of work playing 24 hours straight then monitoring a beta server.

I would have to suggest giving me F&F beta so that I may get to know you all better.

Anyway, there are 5 weeks left for 2 more tests, so any guesses are more likely to be wrong than right, unless they're very highly educated guesses. If Trion does do the beta weekend at the same time as the EL event, then people will have to choose between a day of testing an xpac filled with new features and zones to see, or raising money and supporting children in hospitals. I do not have confidence that most players will make the correct choice, testing requires a lot of dedication and they could become distracted.

who knows, maybe the EL event will be a public beta test for people participating in it.

Last weekend's beta was a stress test, and an open beta is possible, though we have been told there will be 3 closed beta events. I'm just trying to go off what we were told, not what might be. EDIT: and the reason for that is that if I start adding in that they might add more betas, or they might do this or that, the chance of me being further off the mark increases.

I strongly suspect there will be an open one that coincides with Extra Life. If they are doing one that weekend and it will not be open, I beg them not to do it. Don't make Extra Life streamers like myself choose between beta testing Storm Legion and doing our Extra Life duties.

I honestly highly doubt Trion would do that. If there is gonna be a beta next week (which I think there will) I think it will be open. I think the first closed beta was mostly a formality (and subsequent ones will be open). I can't say why I think that (NDA and such) but thats just my feeling.

Trion stated that they intend to do an open beta. I agree with Khel, this was to show the loyal servants...errr pre-purchasers some love.

Trion is doing Come back to Rift Free for 4 days right before the expansion launches if they send the emails out and we all spread word of mouth, how great SL expansion is, will let players try for 4 days Rift with the newest patch.

Thus alot of those players could resub and get expansion.

From Marketing stand point Great reviews of SL and us telling old and new players to come back will do more bang for the buck then spending tons of cash on it.

Plus sending out emails to all the old accounts for rift and free trial accounts that they can log in their level 50s etc.

Trion has always done Hotfixes and patches and content patches like No other MMO studio.

I had the same problem with beta as many others...

I found it so amazing I now have problems playing live, as it just makes me horribly impatient for Storm Legion to go live, I end up just standing in Meridian pouting.
