Thread: wardrobe / costume issue As long as you can equip it normally there is no reason you shouldn't be able to equip it in apperance, kind of sucks for mages and to a lesser extent rogues, but that would at least keep it quasi realistic and would make it so they don't have to code wardrobe exceptions so mages could equip items they usually couldn't.

As Behemothdog was saying, the difference is clear: you're asking for YOUR desires to affect EVERYONE, whereas we are asking for it to be done in a way in which everyone can play as they desire.
Fully open wardrobe: Ailene is entirely free to limit her characters to their classes' armor types, Cinnaris can wear whatever he wants and customize to his will. Both groups would have their way under an open wardrobe.![]()
MMO corporations try to say "all content is free" when all sorts of mounts, costumes, titles, equipment and pets are locked behind a paywall. In any other genre, those things are "content".
For those of us interested in said content (it carries as much real-world value as raiding drops), things *do* change with a cash-shop where price tags are far higher than a sub.
Pretty sure one of the driving forces behind the change was a complaint from a large segment of the population that you were having people roll "NEED" on items they would never wear so they could have it as a costume piece whereas someone else in the group was actually needing it for a skill based upgrade. Purple items were being taken for the aesthetics and people who needed it for actual character improvement were getting left out in the cold. That was why they made the change on the equip and the change on who could roll need for what items.
I would think now with the change to rolls, that could potentially help with the situation.
Yes your entitled to your opinion
I remember now, Eliar stated it was about weapon wardrobe, not armor. Sorry was at work. With armor appearance a few complained but I do not believe it was official about the armor, unless a GM could confirm it. But reguardless with the changes it should be made available to wear all types of armor
There is only one set of plate armour mages can currently wear and thats from the veteran rewards on both sides (guardian mainly) Its costume, but technically mages have been able to wear it since it was released. To add its also not unique to mages as all classes can wear it ;)
