rift:SL was not presented at all in any significant fashion so am not suprised they dindt add it to the poll.

If Mists of Pandaria is on that list, then yeah that would be pretty lame to see Storm Legion not included.

They haven't bothered to report anything about Storm Legion since its appearance in E3 in June 6th. Meanwhile Mists of Pandaria is one of the big stories on their PC page on their main website at least.

At least they have more recent stuff on Defiance and End of Nations though... I guess that's something.

Still, kiiiind of easy to tell that IGN is another one of those groups who don't do the best job at avoiding bias with news coverage and such.

Edit: Also the last piece of Vanilla Rift news is even before E3. Lol. So yeah IGN is not the site to go to for RIFT pretty much. They haven't even bothered to talk about Conquest, Mentoring, or what 1.10 will bring. Yeesh. I know other game news sites like Massively have it covered but come on, that's rather lazy when they're all over World of Warcraft and the typical big-name games that will get their site more clicks.

Yeah, this may suck but it's pretty true. Rift could be the best MMO ever made but if it's still being laughed at on other MMORPG forums as some sort of an upstart/wannabe joke, then it's really not going to be able to be given the respect it may or may not deserve on polls like that. Most people look at Rift and hear everyone complaining about the PVP, or about how many bugs there were in ID and stuff, so when it comes to the positive side people don't really tend to stick around and listen. Also, it doesn't help that the Rift population dwarfs in comparison to most of those other big name MMO's. As far as population goes, there's enough to back this up as it is: starting with crossfaction warfronts/LFG and moving Warfront Mercs, shard mergers/closing, factionless auction houses, cross shard chat, and now the soon to be cross FACTION LFG/Raiding/warfronts. Changes like this are only made to foster a belief that a community is bigger than it actually is, which in Rift's timeline it's fine now, but people need to know there are reasons behind changes like this, not because the devs feel heartbroken that you wanted to roll Guardian and your bff for life wanted to go Defiant and you both are just super bummed you can't bro out together more ingame.

Defiance isnt even on the list, and that did have a pretty big showing there.

I gave up on IGN a long time ago. They have proved time and time again what gaming companies they are loyal to. I expect unbiased reports and opinions from my news outlets, and IGN does not fall in that category.
