    Had to watch the stream twice, 1 time wasn't enough to embrace all of that awesomeness. Cant wait tro try this soul out.

    Default Synegy looks good

    Just watched the video 3 times =)

    Very happy to see what looks like good synergy between this soul, and a different playstyle. So, what did my watching get me?


    76 soul points Total.

    Dominator tree looks mostly unchanged


    Raised in Nature - This is much higher in the Chloro Tree now, 28pts to get 3/3
    Natural Healing ? still at 51 in chloro? means you can get 25pt dom and 51 chloro for healing...


    Spark -- in pyro tree - now 35 points to get 5/5


    And now the new soul....
    Harbinger
    It appears as though it does some AoE as well as ST damage in the rotation

    Assuming same icons, basic stealth is 17 points in, improved stealth is 35 points in.


    From the Soul Tree..
    Synergy looks good, eg, Eldritch knowledge. Movement is at 21pts in.




    Leaf on the wind 5pts to get 5/5 - increases your dodge chance by 10% <--good synergy

    Eldritch knowledge 5pts to get 5/5 -- increases your SP by 10% <- good synergy

    Eldritch Armour... Blue swirling icon 6pts into tree
    grants the mages slashing attacks a 40% chance to reduce the cast time of the next 2 abilities by 2 seconds. Can not occurs more then once every 3 secs.


    Magnetic Blade 5/5 15pts to get, Blade buffs increase your chance to parry attacks by 10% and increase damage of your slashing attacks by 5%


    Planar Retreat .... icon of running man 21points in
    30sec CD stuns for 5sec and teleports the mage backwards 20 meters. removes all CC effects.

    Eldritch reply 20pts to get 2/2?, When you dodge or parry an attack you have a 100% chance to reduce the cast time of your next ability by 2seconds and casuse it not to trigger a global CD

    Eldritch power - 22pts in 2/2 increases the chance for your slashing attacks to trigger Eldritch armor by 10%

    Living Charge 2/2, 27pts to get. In addition to it's original effects, charged blade increases all damage by 10%

    Combat Mastery 30pts to get 5/5 - increases your damage by 10%

    Conditioned Response, 31 pts to get 1/1, instant, 30sec CD, restores 2k health to the mage. Cooldown is reset if the mage is critically hit. Cannot reset more then once every 5sec

    Blade Shield, ~37pts to get 2/2, your planar shield now reduces the incoming damage of the next 7 attacks

    Desperate response, 3/3, 38pts to get, Gives your conditional response a 60% chance to reset it's CD when you are damaged while below 50% health. Cannot occur more then once every 5 seconds


    ?? Lighting Blade summons blade of electrical energy. slashing attacks deal an additional 622 air damage all other attacks have a 20% chance to deal an additional 622 damage


    Reapers Blade - 41pts to get, buff, Summons a deadly scythe of magical energy, slashing attacks deal an additional 622 lafe damage and heal the mage by 281. all other damaging attacks have a 20% chance to trigger this attack. Increases the mages damage by 10% for 6 seconds if an enemy dies within 5s of the mage damaging them.

    Control Flash reduces the cast time of your storm shackle and mass exhaustion by 50% (tooltip at 0/2)

    SC
    61pt Storm Surge, 1.5sec Cast time, 30sec CD
    Consumes all the mages electrified stacks and the enemies withing the targetted area, dealing 2114 to 4547 air damage per stack consumed. damage is divided equally among up to 5 enemies within 7m of the electrified enemy

    Another thing is this: They said in the stream there'd be other Harbinger NPCs in the expansion. But according to the info some people here have posted about the Soul tree, the Harbinger uses Eldritch magic, which from what I know is related to Eth (Defiant) technology. So how do you explain Guardian Harbingers? Are they more or less accepted in Sanctum as their techniques are an extension of their faith rather than in conflict with it? Or would the Harbinger soul be limited to the Defiant faction if Souls came with faction restrictions just like races?

    (I had the same issue with Defiant side Sentinel & Justicar)

    I really hope the other classes get souls that have a massive "Wow, I can't wait to play this/I may have to switch my class to this!" effect. Otherwise... idk. Will be interesting to see the other three souls. I just hope that they're able to top or compete with the awesomeness factor the Harbinger has.

    same reason Guardians got the Reaver soul.

    lore wise, the Ascendent collect the souls of past heroes. This is just that.

    Teleports the mage behind up to 5 enemies, dealing x dmg plus weapon damage

    Charged Blade
    instant, no GCD
    Consumes charge, increases damage done by the mages slashing abilities by 20%, each slashing ability consumes 10 charge, slashing abilities cannot generate charge.

    I know that, but what I'm saying is, while the Defiant Ascended would very much welcome this Eldritch lightning warrior-mage, the guardians don't have any such traditions because the Vigil believes that technology is heresy. So (assuming that lore-wise the Harbinger does in fact make use of Eth technology) a High Elf Ascended who collected & used the soul of the Harbinger hero would very likely have to keep their practice hidden, to avoid being branded a heretic and thrown out of Quicksilver College.

    Of course, this does provide an excellent opportunity to develop your Ascended's background story.

    wow only had time to read the storm legion page on the Harbinger, sounds awesome can't wait till I can settle into my hotel room, watch the vid and read up on everything

    We know so far that there are hints at both factions mixing up and changing in this expansion.

    BTW Guardians tend to take in 'darkness/tech' (necromancer) focused souls only because they see them as tools.

    Just as Defiants take in 'holy' focused souls (paladin, certain clerics) because they see them as tools.

    Ascended have MANY 'get out free' cards, in lore. They are the real story of Telara.

    Love the new mage soul....still think its a mistake to change the healing for chloro. As it stands now you have limited it more then before. I am patient and will wait until release but I would wager they will have to go back and make heals based off of damage and tweak the amount yu get since valor has such an effect.

    Oh we should be able to cast more spells on the move imo lol. Just saying.
