Rift Reddit AMA's on July 26th and 27th!

You’re probably wondering, what is an AMA? It stands for "Ask Me Anything", a popular sub-Reddit on Reddit. /r/IAMA is where individuals (and celebrities) can create new discussions about their life, job, whatever is on their mind and you can ask them anything (or almost anything.) The /r/Rift sub-Reddit moderation team has gone ahead and setup some AMA's that will be occurring in a week (or so) with employees from Trion!

In the AMA, you’ll be able to ask them almost anything about Rift and their personal life. Of course, we are aware that some of the more popular questions will be Storm Legion related. Thus as a heads up, keep in mind that they are very limited on what responses they can give. The Trion Employees will be online throughout the day to answer your questions on the Rift sub-Reddit and will also have a special flair attached to their name.

The following is the schedule of upcoming AMA's on /r/Rift:

• July 26th - James "Walsingham" Weeks and Amanda "Amary" Fry,
• July 27th - Elizabeth "dahanese" Tobey and Scott Hartsman.

The AMA's will be posted around 10AM PST, 12PM CST, 1PM EST. Don't ask me for GMT times, I have no clue! ;)

Some questions to ask:

Why did you release Conquest before testing it?
Do you intend to optimize the game engine for Conquest-like experiences before SL hits?
How will you address the high amount of griefing that occurs within the game?
Will you ever reduce GM ticket response times to reasonable levels (2-4 hours instead of 24-48)?
Should we expect any attempts to balance skills around PvP, or will skill balance continue to revolve around PvE?
How will you restore role viability that you have promised since release (Clerics able to DPS, etc.)?

You can see there that the IAMA OP introduces himself and then people reply to the IAMA thread with their questions and the OP replies to them. So wait until the 26th and 27th when the threads are added to /r/Rift and ask your questions on there =).

You do realize that it is their job to talk to the community, channel information to us from the developers and so on, right? They're probably the most all-knowing people we could get to talk to, and if they don't know it they'll figure out the answer for you if they can at all. Sure, there will be some things they can't say, but I'm sure they would if they at all could.
Really I'm quite happy that they actually want to dedicate time to sit and talk with their playerbase, and even more so that they got Scott in on it too.

I take it you aren't familiar with Reddit nor are you familiar with IAMAs. An IAMA doesn't require it to be a specific person with some specific role. IT'S FOR ANYONE.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the individuals we (namely bc) procured for now for the first AMAs we're doing on /r/rift. There's a high chance that there will be reoccurring AMAs with more individuals from Rift/Trion.
