Not a fan of Summerfest .. Here is why.

I have been a TRUE lover of all world events and yet this one fails to satisfy me.

I have always appreciated being able to spend hours farming out the world event currencies through Rifts/Invasions/and World Event quests. And yet for this world event we get 4 world event dailies and a VERY slow and painful Rift Farm or (if you are lucky to have the Ascend a Friend Horse) a Pony Quest that offer up little rewards .. or if you have some serious patience Fishing.

And also the most major disappointment the Friendship Bracelets, why are we not allowed to buy out all the cool rewards (via Bracelets)? Who made it so we have to choose the 2-3 rewards that we do get to buy? I WANT IT ALL, I'm a woman after all and one of the things that has drawn me to Rifts the most are the vanity items.

The Scavenger Hunt I did like, I know it's been asked for many a time in the forums and Trion finally delivered.

All in all I give this world event a 3/10. =(

If you have any alts make sure that they take the scavenger quests too as all but the shamber stick (correct me if Im wrong) are account bound which should help you get a few more of the items you want.

Personally Im frustrated by the reversion to the old lvl50s in Freemarch/Silverwood farming everything when Trion already knows this is damaging to lowbies. The lack of care about cramming half a server into one area to farm limited spawns (the bugs) for quests and titles. The buged items and quests - sunfish lure dont work, sandwich quest takes items out of your inventory that arent sandwiches.
The massive lag that appears to have gotten worse since Conquest even at 8am in the morning when my server is mid at best. And the issues with conquest that are causing community fury.
Do we test things on the PTS anymore?

I like the events. Ive farmed my rear off on the previous ones to get all the mounts, the focus type items, the weapons, the costumes and titles etc on 6 characters. But this one has me struggling.
Maybe Im burned out or getting there but thinking about facing several more days of racing lvl50s in Silverwood to get my character less than half their level her leaves and fish makes me want to put a quilt over my head and sleep.

I was under the impression they were timed, and not limited quantity items. I'd definitely prefer it to be the former rather than the latter. Maybe I'll check it out tonight and see if I can verify.

On the upside, even if it is limited quantities, as it's happened in every event, nobody will care after a week or two, and the competition will dwindle.

Summerfest is not like almost any of the previous World Events. It will be back next year. That is why you can't get everything this year. Hammerknell will never open again, so you won't see that content, and so you needed to be able to get all of it. Summerfest you will see every year and so you can get what you missed next year. Expect to have to choose rewards for any Annual event going forward.

Ditto. I got the tasks on the first character I logged on looked them over and thought, "Well, that is a waste". Removed all the tasks.

You can fish up bracelets, so I guess you CAN get all of the rewards :P

you can't get everything this year. Expect to have to choose rewards for any Annual event going forward.

Terrible, terrible ideas guys. Players want to complete things, stopping people from getting what they want in a world event just leaves people bitter and annoyed.

It's actually pretty good - but only if you compare it to not having a world event in the first place, rather than previous WEs.

I have a few bracelets sitting in my currency tab, I will probably get a few more by the end of the month. I have looked on the vendor and cant see anything I would want.

Off the top of my head, there's a prefix title, "Counselor" I think, a costume helm (not the funny looking hat the other one) and some weapons that a fresh 50 could use... I don't go for the cosmetic fluff like tranforming into animals or glowing various colors so I probably won't have a use for more than 4-6 bracelets anyway.

Fishing dosen't take that long. You only need 20 fish and 10 leaves a day. Maybe 20 minutes a toon.

I haven't come apon one of these captureable pets yet though!

The world event is okay I suppose. Certainly room for improvement.

Not meant to to get all the items in one event? Do not like. Just change the items a little year by year. You'll have cloaks to add next year.

The cost of the lesser essences? Do not like. Why are they so much more than they were last event? It feels like price gouging to a startling degree. Inconsistent certainly. Just doesn't set right with me at all.

I think part of it is the amount of 'what am I supposed to do with all this currency! I have bought everything and still have eleventy thousand molten dragon snowflake tears to spend!'
