Generally how people make real-life money. Selling stuff people are buying.

Easiest is to just sell the gathering tradeskills. Especially picking up and selling artifacts. A good haul of them nets you alot of AH plat.

Right past that would be joining GDKP runs on your server. My last several weeks, a HK run would get me upwards of 2kpp+ for a single clear per week. So they were quite profitable if you didn't grab anything. Not that getting gear would have been bad.

The last thing would be playing the AH. Prices range wildly between the servers. If you got the time and willing to plan alittle, it's easy to buy from some of the lesser servers and sell on others. There's several items that range for hundreds of plat difference. Even higher when you buy from pve to sell on pvp servers.

I always go for least amount of effort, most amount of reward options when it comes to farming anything. Best way ive come across is buying cheap selling high. Buy up under valued items on the AH and re-sell. Make sure they are high turnover items.

If you have a smart phone, install the "Rift Mobile" app. Do the shinies scratch-off game to possibly win artifacts and then sell them on the AH. Most of them don't sell for much, but every once in a while you can score a valuable one.

I've gotten a few that have sold for 20-25plat, with my most valuable selling for 70! (most of mine sell for about 15-20 gold, but even those add up over time!)

I just incorporate it into my daily routine. I get up at 6, and do it before I go to work around 6:30... do my next round at lunch time around noon, and then do it again before I go to bed a little after 9ish. It works out well since I don't get alot of playtime due to RL commitments, and have to "maximize" my gametime enjoyment!

I have tons of planarite saved up is there anything I can spend that on that I can sell on the AH?

Buy the source machine enchant from the planar vendor of your choice... then sell it.

Fire/Earth are still in demand and can fetch over 250 plat.

You don't know what is selling on the AH. If it's selling it's gone:P

And what's not on the AH doesn't mean it will sell.

Powerstones always sell but it seems to me anyway they Trion nerfed mining drops. I can never seem to get the gem to make the ammy to make the stone anymore.

Unlucky? Maybe.

But after a month of just hitting mines and getting 1 in 30 it wasn't worth the time. Ore doesn't sell. There is tons on it. Trions crafting system is about worthless at any level other than 1 or 2 things at max level. And those are about worthless if you can raid.

Runecrafting is good. But as people gear it sells less and less. Once you buy your piece you'll have it for a while or until the Xpac for that matter.

Any low level runes aren't worth the time it's so easy to level and pickup gear way buy them when in 5 mins the gear you runed is vendor food.

I understand Trion not wanting crafting to over shadow game drops. But wow. I think crafted item should be a touch better and anything you get short of 5s, 10 and 20s. Make crafting worth the time on lower levels.

Making just game end (only 1 or 2) worth anything is a bad game design.

Firestand dessert is a great place. You can rep drops which sell. You can skin they can sell maybe. You are better off if your server isn't dead on the side you play on is EI events. Defending a stone is easy EXP and you get drops. You can be a a** and don't group and tag everything tha moves and steal all the drops.

Or just group and hope you are defending a point that's booming. Seems something on EI points can go whole events seeing not 1 invasion. Which I find odd.

Artifacts...Farm these like crazy.

I can generally pickup about 75 in 1 hr. Turn around and make about 50-300 plat off of what I picked up. Sell them on AH, and undercut the person who is the lowest. Bananah from Curse.com is the best Auction Addon I have ever come across in any MMO.

Omen Sight is a big key also...spend the planarite for it. I promise it will reward you.

Dont know where to look? Stonefield is the best location to pull the most in a short amount of time.

I, myself, make around 100 plat. per day.

A guildie of mine, Makes around 1k a week selling artifacts...He is also the #1 Artifact collector of all time on the leaderboards...last week alone, he collected 4100 artifacts in just 7 days. Then he dropped them all in the Guild Bank and we have been Happy Campers ever since! Good Luck!
