Hello everyone!

My name is Ferrel and I’m a RIFT junkie, guild leader, and writer. I’m here today to let you know about a really cool project I’m helping out with: RIFT’s new Live stream. The community team will periodically be hosting a session where you can check out what is new in RIFT. You’ll get a sneak peak at what is coming and have the opportunity to ask questions!

The first of these Live stream events will take place on Wednesday, June 20th at 3:30PM PDT/10:30PM GMT (that's 11:30 in the UK)! This particular thread is to give you an opportunity to submit some questions to me so that the Trion team can be ready to answer them.

On this episode Trion will be demoing:

Conquest PvP – If you haven’t seen this yet you should really check it out.

• Engage in the constant struggle for control through capturing multiple objectives and powerups
• Join one of three factions and fight for the destiny of all
• Craft your way to victory by empowering your allies with the products of new Conquest specific recipes

Other patch 1.9 items – Did you know that there are a lot of great things coming up?

• Take a trip to the barbershop for a new haircut, a facelift, or some leg extensions
• Keep pace with your low-level friends with the new mentoring system
• Enjoy the excitement of instant adventures in Silverwood, Freemarch, Gloamwood, and Stonefield. You can even mentor down to check it out
• Challenge Fae Lord Twyl in the newest Sliver: Primeval Feast
• Go global! You’ll be able to chat with anyone in RIFT regardless of shard
• Summerfest is coming so be prepared to enjoy cook-outs, scavenger hunts, and more while fending off the Swarm Lord and his biting insects

There will also be some interesting discussion about what you can look forward to in Storm Legion, RIFT’s first expansion!

All you have to do is show up and tell us what you’d like to know. The questions you submit here, during the show, and via twitter just might be the ones that are answered.

This is a fantastic idea, I love it! Let me go ahead and kick us off with a question:

Regarding the Barbershop, will there be an ability to "Save" and "Load" character details?

At Rift launch I had one of those rare opportunities to race for an early first. Indeed, I got the first for "Chosen!" and the Warden Soul on that day. Racing this quickly however meant that I had to forgo all char creation steps, and afterwords I created an alt with an appearance that I like. A save & load feature would be really helpful.

2 Questions:

1.) Regarding Conquest, the feature looks great right now and I enjoy it immensely but as a feature how does the team look at Conquest, is it a jumping point for where they want pvp to go in the future and can we expect more PVP like this down the road or more additions to the existing Conquest map, or do you view this as like a self contained Warfront?

2.) Regarding Storm Legion, know you guys probably don't want to get into specifics right now, but what are your plans for PVP in Storm Legion. We have lots of new raids, dungeons and exciting PVE content coming with Storm Legion but nothing has been said about PVP. Do you have anything exciting in store for us on the PVP front?

Will raids in Storm Legion require resistance cores, or is that a design that you're planning to move away from?

So far, we've seen healer output increase dramatically while health hasn't really gone up at all for non-tanks, which does some weird things with raid healing requirements. Will player health scale better with PvE gear in Storm Legion?

Will we be seeing source cores/sigils similar to the Barnacle Encrusted with other resists (fire, earth, air, etc.)? If so, will we be provided a way to transfer essences from current cores/sigils to the new resist ones? Will we be seeing such a way to transfer essences regardless?

When is 1.9 going live? I think we were all under the impression that would be the 20th, but all we are getting on the 20th it turns out is a little information about 1.9.

Where did you get that impression. I had heard the 27th, pretty sure that will be the date. Unless it has to be pushed back for conquest changes. Conquest is definitely not ready for a live launch this week. The end stage condition stuff is totally incomplete.

^ According to the PTS the world event starts on the 27th. So, you can assume that it would be released before that date. But ya know what they say about assuming things, it can make an ARSE out of U and ME
