broken raid style party frames option

Whenever I turn on the option to use raid style party frames and am in a 5 man group, both my party AND raid frames disappear making it next to impossible to heal. Yes, my raid frame is enabled and it works fine in raid groups, but it disappears in 5 mans. I'm using no addons. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

It may be that the party raid frames in ui layout has moved off screen or is unders something else. I would suggest fiddling a little bit with your UI to see if this is the case. Under options>Edit Layout

No they should look the same with the exception of it saying party and not raid 1. Usually there will be a frame for the groups pets also.
