Returning to the Rift, need some advice.

It's been a long time since I played and I would like to return, I had to quit because of college taking most of my time as well as work, but now that I have more time I would like to get started. I am looking to find a high populated server any ideas? I honestly have no idea what server to play on, I do have a few characters but I would like to make a new character to learn the game again.

I want a mage but I hear they are hard/broken at the moment is that true in anyway?

It really depends, are you PVE, PVP?

Find a guild that will allow you to come in, get you up to 50 and needs people to get through RoS and GSB eventually when you get there.

Here are the populations but it really doesn't matter until your ready to raid.

As for guardian and defiant. I'm a guardian but be whatever suits you. There are guilds on both sides that need people atm.

You can switch servers every week so really it doesn't matter where you start.

I dont think anything is broken, everything depends in your build, what do you want, etc, PVP or PVE, raids no raids, etc, right now there is a new tool to find guilds, just check what you like and the system will match you up to the guild of your likeness.
