Default Trion: Is the new "epic" fire quest saga staying around?

If any representative from Trion, or a friendly neighborhood Elrar, would be kind enough to shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated!

I've went through the new "epic" saga of quests for the 1.8 world event. 3 quests per phase was a nice way to roll it out. There was a lot of time and effort put into these quests and the rewards that are given after them.

My question is, will the quests be staying around after the world event ends? Or should I scramble for the last week and get the quests done on all my alts for those sweet loots as well?

    Thank you in advance,

    Will

I would like to know this as well. Right now I'm on the stage where you have to run expert dungeons and collect 5 tickets or something, no Idea how many runs I will need to do or how many more quests I have after that one.

I agree that this should be our new saga, though I think it would be fire an earth saga since both cults are heavily displayed throughout the whole thing. You get a lot of nice things out of it, some fluff, some somewhat usable gear if you don't have better gear, and who doesn't like more pa levels (unless of course your maxed). Just add some achievements for it, maybe some titles like the other sagas and bam done. Also I feel there is far to much lore for this to just be a one time deal.

I wont say anything in case someone doesn't want it spoiled but the end quest I think many would agree keys you in on a very important development and really the whole thing was imo beautifully done.

+1 to keep it as our fire, fire/earth, wanton maw, w/e Saga.

I ran 5 experts in rapid succession as a tank and in each instance I found one of the emissaries, all of which dropped the quest item. After this I picked up the next quest which led me to Stonefield to kill 10 Earth and 10 Fire eggs. Upon killing 10 Earth eggs a 400K HP boss spawned and the same upon killing 10 Fire eggs. Should hopefully complete this some time tomorrow.

There's already a lot of threads stating that this should be a permanent quest, and in fact turned into the the Fire Saga Epic quest. Which I agree to.

Here's hoping though, because as far as it stands, this chain will vanish this week after the event is over, which is a shame because I'm sure many are stuck on the parcels quest and/or having trouble finding people to help with the rest of the chain.

The rewards are really good, well, except for the caster staff at the end of the chain which has physical crit instead of what I'm assuming it's suppose to be, endurance.

You can see from the types of quests these are that they put a lot of thought into them. Not only do they use some raid bosses in the quest line (won't spoil it for anyone), but they implemented specific mobs into all the expert dungeons and some parts of the world just for this.

I'd hate to see that work disappear.

What are the rewards for completing the entire quest line?

You receive 1 PA XP level per quest. There are also a pair of gloves and a weapon that are both tier 1 raid equivalent.

And the breath of maelforge fluff item that makes your character spew fire.

The gloves are essentially the Planar gloves you get form the Keepers on EI.

The weapons are on part with the weapons rewarded from the Endless epic quest saga. Not at good as weapons that drop in Greenscale raid, but on par, if not better then expert quality weapons.

Doing the whole chain does get you a lot of PA levels. Around 10 I believe. 3 quests per phase, and the last quest giving 2 PA levels I believe.

As the other poster said, you get a fluff item that lets you breath fire, and you also get a pet at the end, which is EI spirit, the stubby rock looking one.

Plus the lore of the quest chain is cool.

Ive already completed the full chain... so if its turned into the new saga quest i would be disappointed.

Besides... the weapon rewards at the end are only worth getting if your Below HK gear. I found the pet reward and PA levels more enjoyable.

People have been complaining they cant complete the chain due to difficult steps or glitchy drops. I didnt have a single problem and for the difficult steps... you just need to get some guildies to help or a group.

Kewl to know. I'll have to look into doing this on my main (or if it's more like the Far Clan quest on EI, do it for all my level 50s).

Just because you didnt have issue doesnt mean thete isnt one. Good you finiished..but ive done 15 f/e events and still havent got my last 2 items ( 15 just fir these two). It would be very disappointing not to finish because. of RNG. Then again Trion has screwed up almost every event in some way. I just want to finish.

I too had issues with the drops from earth/fire invasions towards the end of that quest. Luckily I got all my items except for power cores before the patch last week, and since the core drop rate was increased finished them the day of the patch.

The weapon and gear is what I'd call tier 1 quality based off hit/focus alone. The stats of the warrior two hander is greater than hunter's pursuit (not that it was a good weapon to begin with), and fits in nicely with other drops from GSB/DH/GP.

It's a nice route to take alts that are going past tier 1 raiding in a hurry, so you don't burn marks on them.

It's been decided these quests will be staying around as the Epic Fire Saga - we might need to do some tinkering so it might vanish temporarily after the event but our plan is to make it a permanent chain

Also - as a heads up to everyone, we're extending the 1.8 World Event another week to May 24th. We know not everyone has had a chance to check it out yet and didn't want you to feel rushed!
