i believe the difference isnt so much posts with dev names in them, its that in the rogue forum people are making demands of devs, here theyre just posting about them

i assume youre talking about this rule:

"Calling Out Others in Thread Titles: Please do not create threads with titles that are directed at specific members of the RIFT Development Team or community. These threads will be closed, removed, or at very least the thread title edited to remove the individual's name."

but theres still a difference, i see that rule as, "dont make threads asking for dev responses" the OP of this thread just made a joke about elrar, and some people happened to respond

Well, if they're anything like a lot of other places -- I bet devs have access to things that are like the actual game servers, but are in the dev office and not related to the live servers.

Heck, I have a local office that I share with one other person and we have... uhm... I forget, but at least 6-8 large servers.

Game servers are independent of database servers used for things like... oh, running the business machines in a corporate office E-mail servers, databases, process servers...etc etc. They have to have server housing for that stuff too ya know!

Have no fear - the Laguintas and the like come out for beer Friday. I imagine the plethora of Pabst is because it's the "default" choice rather than the preferred one, haha.

It is my favorite dirt-cheap lager after Yuengling though (edit: which you can't get in CA yet, grrrr!)

But yeah - I'm all about the microbrews given the opportunity!
