Carnival of the Ascended: Phase 2 at ZAM Rift!

Phase 2 of Carnival of the Ascended is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 7. During this phase the carnival will grow as new games like Place Your Bets, Drinking Contest and Fashion Show are added to the party in Shimmersand. Play these games to earn Prize Tickets to spend on merchant goods such as the balloon companions!

Dragon Parades will commence during this phase and the goal centers around upgrading the parade balloons. The parades will march through Freemarch or Silverwood as they follow their route. A title awaits those factions that are dedicated enough to meet their goals!

A bit of trouble has cropped up at the carnival in Shimmersand as Monte and his crew refuse to leave the party! Grab some friends and help clear them out to earn your Pyrite Doubloon for this phase. The Herald of Heroes is prepared to tell the story of Prince Hylas in the newest addition to the daily raid quests, Tales of the Ascended II.

Bummer Monte is only in Shimmersand... low levels will be hard pressed to get that mount.

isnt there a portal directly to the carnival in shimmer from the capital cities? can low levels not go through it?

They can, and the 3 guys scale to the summoner. But they still gonna be 3 elites of the level of the summoner.

Am I the only one really bummed that the only way to get those items for the mount are from group quests? It's a huge letdown compared to the other events...

Meh, I would have been with you, but the 3 man is soloable on most classes at 50 my mage had trouble but the other 3 were a no issue.

For the mage and for sub 50's though, it's not really an issue as there are always people around, especially at the beginning, sub 50's it's even easier as the mobs spawn at your level so are a faceroll for nearby 50's to help.

ya? instead of what? grinding invasions for weeks and not getting the mount? just group with some randoms and go kill the mob. im sorry you have to put some effort into getting these awesome mounts.

Personally, I would rather have rare drops than a 30 sec quest once per week. That isn't exactly 'effort'.

I'd much rather have something which requires me to take part in the event, as it is the only thing there is is the 100k goal which I have no way of accomplishing and therefore no point in doing.

i think all the people talking about phase 2 are on EU shards, we share forums

still phase 1 for me

usually new phases start around 4-6 shard time (i think it has a precise time, im just rarely on when it switches)

The OP has been updated with correct parade routes. We were a little over-enthusiastic!

This is going to be hard for smaller pops.
Unlike in Phase 1 where you were at least getting crafting mats, or crafting; in this stage other than glass beads it is almost a complete 'waste of time'.

Phase 1 was good, because people actually spent the time to get craft mats, which has its own benfits.
Phase 2 is going to hit the smaller pops hard, because there is much less incentive to go out of your way to collect them.

And it takes 40 Guardian Might Cores to get 10 Glass Beads. Hardly any incentive.
Wolfsbane pretty much gave up already.
