Extinct R1/R2 set removed from the game but not from the players

When i bought "betrayer's set" which was pvp r1/r2 set (and now extinct). This was a requirement to purchase r3/r4 set. This was before the changes in PvP ranks.

After the update, these items were removed from the npc vendor and now player can get immediately the R3/R4 items. But, the characters who possessed these items remained with them.

For rogues sedentionist (r3/r4) is now the first set to buy. So, who bought these items, intending to take the next set, was impaired. All favor spend on it was useless, now my rogue in R10 need to restart buy the first set.

Being rank 10, I should have the complete sedentionist set, and now i need to do some WF to regain what i lost.

Betrayer's is useless, cannot be sold and cannot be changed for the next set.

I tried to talk to a GM, asking them to remove these items, he said this could not be done

Anyone more have this problem?

So, Trion, next time really remove the item from the game and make the compensation.

I agree with this.
IF they made a change which made previous rank gear obsolete they should have allowed a 1:1 swap for its new equivalent.

For a guy who spent time getting it I can say it felt wrong not being compensated.

Really is not much. BUT, now in rank 10, I could have completed the sedentionist set and start to buy r5/r6 parts...

I also bought all the betrayers set with the intention of upgrading it. I did, in fact, get to upgrade about 1/2 the pieces. When the changes were made I petitioned a GM to complain about the now basically useless armor the had take a considerable amount of favor to buy. I wanted the favor back and they could have the armor. No deal. The GM so kindly forwarded my complaint to someone as a suggestion but I will never know the results since they do not reply to individual comments. It may not have cost much favor but when you are only starting out and trying to learn pvp every little bit is important.

Time for a rethink and a refund.
