Different market than NA/EU. I think there are a total of 4 NA servers, 2 of which are dead. Its not really a game that (most) fans of Rift have any desire to play


WoW-

The Pandas and talent tree changes ultimately wont matter, especially since the general sketch of the storyline is about 1,000,000 times more interesting then big dragon flies over head for 18 months. It will come down to if the game moves in a new direction, or stays stagnant. the problem with Cataclysm is the storyline was bad and the game stayed stagnant, and people werent happy with the second half of Wrath as it was.

Wont have a noticeable impact.


Guild Wars 2-

Will have an impact. To think it wont is foolish. But its not like 50% of the population will leave. *MAYBE* 25%, of which many will stay subbed to Rift anyway.

According to that site Rift has 250,000 accounts and Aion has a bit over 2 million. Is that because Aion has gone F2P in Europe already? Because I swore I saw a chart like that saying Aion has only about 80-120k.

Aion is a Korean game and very big in Korea. TERA is also a Korean game and a flop in Korea.

Noticing all the constant changes Trion has made to Rift I just resubbed after 10 months away. I bought my gf with me. My old guild leader is also showing interest and another friend too. Thats 2 subs and 2 potential subs. Trion just needs to get the word about about all these amazing changes. I didnt even know until someone mentioned Rift is "the best MMO on the market currently" to which i responded by laughing then doing my own research.
