Also though, they are still on the merchant for 500 RK Seals. Don't have any seals? I believe the next event lets you collect all the old currencies.

Yes, luckily for everyone but the ones that bought them previously, they are part of the Veteran Rewards chain. Not sure how long you need to sub to get it tbh. I already had them.

At some point you'll be able to buy the item from your summonable merchant, via Vet Rewards.

I've always thought the gear in this game was less than appealing, and very drabb. In fact, some peeps choose to strut about in their BVD's to get that 'special look.' We should be satisfied with the wardrobe slots they gave us way back last summer and the few pricey armors from the clothier they included. I'm not happy with the lack of progress not being made in the 'appearence' department.

There are also some normal helmets (with stats, not wardrobe) which have that same appearance. Wouldn't be able to tell you which ones, but i'm pretty sure i've seen a few. Trion has rehashed models before.

I wouldn't say "less than appealing," just not as gaudy and unrealistic looking as most people are used to. The armor sets in Rift look more functional and realistic than those found in WoW, IMHO.

But this is a fantasy game. I do not want my armor to look functional and realistic, hell my mage shoots flames out of its book, f realism. If you want realism go play battlefield or something.

There is not much good looking gear ingame mate, maybe the sandcovered costume set? The mathosian set is also decent. I hope they add more funny costumes with further expansions like FBI suits, panda bear costumes etc.

Oh my Vigil! I hope you are joking. Yeah, let's follow certain other MMO's failure in completely debasing or lore and history. The EI sets and World Event sets are interesting and "cool" enough (the newest headgear reminds me of The Phantom Menace), and there is certainly no need for FBI Pandas!
